Two-ten? That's how you pronounce that name? I was sure it was supposed to be tow-ten. I already had difficulty accepting the correct pronunciation of Cade's name...

Greed and a fixation on profit above all else are not concepts exclusive to America, I'm sorry to say. There's plenty of that anywhere in the world, unfortunately.

To be honest, it never occured to me that the music crystals might have been a budget-dictated idea rather than a conscious effort to further convey the picture of Solest as a pseudo-medieval world that's already begun to move into a more modern age. I think that's also a big part of why Finley and the Daydream scenes are so popular - they fit into this idea of a world moving on in time, which is something you rarely find in these kinds of RPGs. If everyone behaved and talked like Stoic, things like Equipment King, the existence and musical style of Daydream, Finley's guns etc. would have felt out of place. But since that's not the case in Solest during this age, it made more sense and was interesting to me as a player, at least.

Speaking of which, Finley's showdown at the party isn't actually the first time the player learns about the existence of guns in Solest. There's another scene earlier on where Stoic yells at Finley for making noise with his guns at night, so the player at least knows he has them already. Of course, it's still a dramatically effective moment when he actually pulls them out.

It's also kind of funny to me that you had this strategy of not saving Shadehorn for last, even though in MotW, defeated heroes gain experience anyway. It's one those little things you did right but that I had never thought of before. But every time I test a game for someone else now, I urge them to implement that same setting as well. In my opinion, there's little more frustrating than having a character miss out on the EXP because they were knocked out just before the end of the fight. They were still there for most of the action, after all.

Anyway, this was a good episode! Thanks for continuing to make these. I'm looking forward to the next video.
D'oh, you're right. Forgot about Finley waking Stoic up. As for the Shadehorn thing, I suppose I should have mentioned that it was a strategy developed before ArtBane changed that...in the moment, I forgot we had fixed it.

I agree that the crystal thing turned out to be a happy accident. Daydream being composed of angels with instruments has a similar story, but I'll talk about that next time.

Finley suddenly going nuts on the Toutens with that fantastic music kicking in was the moment I realized that I really liked this game.
I think that's a pretty big Come to Finley moment. I also think the player gets a bit of respect for Vec, too, since he stands up to Shadehorn. It's funny how much I wound up liking him and Kovak. I think it starts to show by Arc IV or so.

In Legacy news, I've got a fun picture. Guess who shows up for a one-scene cameo in Overmoss?

Hey, thats right. We've met some dark mages before. That makes me wonder how much time exactly has passed between the events of Mster of the Wind and the beginning of Legacy.

P.S.: I'll go watch the newest episode when I get back home.
15 years, give or take. So Peri was about my kids age when the MotW stuff was going on. Meanwhile, Rana has been trying to rehabilitate Overmoss and take the guild in a different direction as well. She only shows up for this one early scene however, since Overmoss in Peri's hometown that she soon leaves.

Interesting. So I guess that any other characters from previous games would have grown older or died at this point as well. I assume Arius must not be alive any more now, then?
Also, Rana's reappearance makes me think about what Solik must be up to, if he's still around. Hm...
