I didn't miss you posting this episode, I just haven't had the opportunity to watch it yet. I'll get to it soon, though!

Well, what do you know? Contrary to all expectations, this video actually was not blocked for me. What the heck?

I was aware of the optional bit of conversation with Trelok, but I never found out about the lancer rematch. Interesting. I'll have to remember that for the next time I play the game from the beginning.

Allowing the player to fight Finley before the real concert battle was a great idea. After he had been going on my nerves for most of the game so far, having the chance to punch him in the face without seriously hurting him was a very cathartic experience, especially since after that he finally starts to get it together and joins the party.

Even though it's cheesy, I really enjoyed the concert boss battle, just like many others did. The best thing about it is that it's not all just hype and hot air, but the fight itself is well-designed and a challenge, too. And the irony of the whole situation, where you have to fight a band that makes propaganda for your enemies while you're simultaneously rocking out to their music, makes the whole setup even more interesting.
This is also yet another way in which Master of the Wind influenced my life: It introduced me to power metal and symphonic metal. Previously, I wasn't even aware those subgenres existed. And since I can find examples from practically any genre that I enjoy, metal had never been more special to me than any other genre. And while I still listen to a variety of musical styles, symphonic metal and power metal have definitely become my favourites by now.
By the way, I had seen those edited angel sprites playing instruments before on another RPG Maker-related website. Seeing a project that actually used them was therefore extra cool to me.

I seem to remember you once posted a chart on the Solest forums that displayed the different characters' political orientations, where Cade was (initially) more left-authoritarian than liberal, and contrasted that with your own views. Interestingly, I probably would have placed myself relatively close to where Cade was, since I also believe that sometimes, people can't be trusted to act responsibly on their own. But maybe that just shows my own immaturity and lack of experience, being only in my mid-20s?

Now that the Sparrow has appeared, things start to get really intense. If you finish your Let's Play before my in-depth playthrough is completed, I'll be very embarrassed. I need to get on that!

The whole concert sequence, from Finley's 'it's just too awesome' to the overblown boss battle with metal angels set to a Masterplan song is one of the most epic moments in any RPG Maker game in my opinion. Easily the best scene in the whole game.

It's an awesome section, true, but I wouldn't necessarily call this the best scene in the whole game. There's quite a lot of heavy-hitting scenes in the game, just think of the Rain of Fire or the final confrontation with Sparrow, for example. My favourite at least will always be that scene just before the end, where Stoic fights off the Hand fanatics on that narrow cliff passage. That part is just incredible.

Stoic's 'You shall not pass' moment is pretty badass but I still like this more.

Yeah, that was fun. I put all the major characters through that one political matrix text. Cade was on the Authoritarian Left side whereas I'm on the Libertarian Left side (fairly close to Stoic).

What I was saying about some people in that 18-22(ish) range is mostly that they think they just have all the answers, regardless of what their politics are. They say young people in general are more liberal and while that's true when compared to older people, there are still plenty that aren't. These days, I'm noticing that some young people who really want to be contrarian are going the racist/sexist route since that feels more like "sticking it to the man."
