Too bad the game audio had to be cut out, but at least the content and commentary are fine.
I think I mentioned before how as much as I enjoy my block pushing puzzles, the somewhat whimsical nature of that section together with its music always felt a little out of place in the context of such serious events going on. Your commentary during that puzzle part made that impression even stronger.
I absolutely understand the point of what you're saying, though. I don't think I had seen Goma in this light before, but his behaviour really does exemplify a lot of the harm that comes from such arbitrary and unrealistic archetypes and expectations. And as you mentioned, it's a bit scary to see certain people actually trying to follow that macho formula in real life and even getting away with it. Still, I do think more and more people are starting to move away from those one-sided ideas on "adequate" behaviour for certain genders, slowly but surely.
The twist ending to this Arc is definitely one of my favourite scenes in the game. It's short and to the point, but I could physically feel the impact and the irony when I saw it for the first time. I think very late in the game, Mina makes a remark about how satisfying it is to see an extremist realise they have been wrong. It sounds a little mean, but to a certain degree, that applies to this scene, too.
