Announcement

Some fixes and changes implemented

Since release something weekend is past, I've changed a few things.

*First, I changed the upgrade shops thing from a treasure to a phone you get the program from. I figured that would be a better way to do it.

*Then, I tried to balance out the skills a little better. Lumina was overpowered so I lowered its damage a little bit and raised its MP cost. Crosswave received similar treatment. Poison/LunaWave/Rage were untouched.

*Some weapon tweaks. Staves do not raise mind now, but the ball weapons do. So it's a trade-off between power (fists), magic power/speed (balls) or fast MP regen (staves) or balance (blades).

*Minor fixes such as some tile map errors, portrait/face fixes.

*And a big fix: Enemy HP bars are now displayed on the bottom of the screen, like so:

*Another big fix: Normal attacks now have extra range to them. They hit one tile above and below the direction you're facing. They also have knockback too.

*Fix 3: Running away tiles have been fixed. You cannot step on running tiles directly, you have to face and head towards it. It should fix the "Going vertically gives me another escape message!" issue.

That is all for now. Hope you enjoy!

Azure Waves is ready for download!

The game is up! Release something event here we go! It was a mad rush for everyone including myself to get something in on the deadline but I think that was helpful and we'll probably get a lot of projects out of it! Gotta go try some others as well now...

Feel free to send me your comments and feedback and I hope you enjoy!

Progress Report

Release something weekend here, almost finished!

The game is already in a fully playable state from start to end. It should take about 40 minutes to an hour to beat depending on how thorough you are.

Basically what's left for me to do is get some final testing in, see if I have time to get the facesets replaced, and do some minor cutscene fixes. I'm very grateful for the testers help, especially those without Ace so I can make it RTP independent and have people without Ace be able to play it. Also reducing the file size from 150 to 30 mb is really nice too.

Sadly I didn't have time to replace the RTP characters with custom sprites. It was going to be all RTP but the last week I decided to replace it with custom graphics so I can do things like make TVs and all. I knew I couldn't do like 54 sprites in a day or 2 so I didn't try. My magical pixelly pixies dust ran out after the tiles and icons, sorry.

I hope you like the game once it's out!
