A standard Final Fantasy type RPG with a few twists.

Your main character can choose one of four classes at the beginning of the game by answering a question regarding his quest, giving the game replayability.

Also giving replayability are the characters who can join your group. There are currently 11, but choices you make through the game can make some unavailable, so currently the most you could possibly recruit is 8. None of them are essential, so you can recruit any that you want and you will not get stuck if you miss one (a few are hard to find) or one dies. In addition to the standard healers, wizards, and warriors there are also some more esoteric characters such as a demon and an undead creature. Some of the characters you recruit will open up new ways to interact with NPCs and also new equipment that can be obtained, so you will never be able to find everything in a single game!

One obvious change is the addition of some modern-style guns, although they are rare and do not overpower more standard melee weapons. Healing and money are not as easily obtained as in many games, so they become more precious.

Slight spoiler - finishing your initial quest causes something worse to be released. In order to fight it you must release even greater evils in a seemingly never-ending spiral - but to stop would cause the whole land to suffer.

Well this game is almost like a RPG version of an ecological disaster, like releasing Rhinella marina to deal with Dermolepida albohirtum only to find they were a worse pest and need to be eradicated themselves. The cyclic nature of the threats in this game follow a similar pattern, with no concievable end in sight.

In regard to the aesthetic, there are some problems with some of the battlers, which have obviously been culled from picture sources, the images haven't been cleaned up to well and show that white or grey line around the edges which is always a little distracting. I've also never been fond of the my sprite is biger that your house look in relation to the sizes of towns. I know it does make town design easier, but it looks and feels a little lazy. Though the rest of the mapping is fine, nothing spectacular but acceptable.

There are a few spelling errors, but they aren't very prevalent and don;t deter from comprehension, so I'd say not to stress about them just be on the look out when you do your next run through.
