Be aware that some elements of the game are somewhat violent.

STORY

The game is about groups of “special” students: The inquisitive, the mysterious, and the insane. Among them, there is one particular student who seems to be very interested in the school’s secrets. One by one, the forbidden knowledge unveils before his curiosity. But...
"When you know something, you will have to exchange something for it..."

NOTE

"In this game, screenshots don't say anything."
The game has 7 chapters and 5 endings. But I'm pretty sure 50% people can't play chapter 7 and fall down to first ending - The WORST. Not because it's hard to play, it's hard to get. And make sure: You are in a dark room, alone, "max" volume. And remember...Don't just play, look around, or you can't get to Chapter 7. If you're lucky, you won't have to see anything "creepy". And one more thing, remember the numbers.

sang, if possible, could you PM a short walkthrough for the different endings? I'm doing an LP and I do want to get them all eventually. I figure I'll try to get a couple by myself but if I fail, I will need something to let me know how to find them. >.<;

I'd appreciate it a lot. As a bargaining chip, <<here's>> the first video... ^.~

(I'll post them up under media when I've got the second one done)

So did you get chapter 7? And what endng you got?
Not yet. I've been doing swapsies with my current games list so they all get a chance. I should have the second (which will have the sixth and seventh chapters) tomorrow and I'll try for another ending in that one, too, since I prefer videos at about a half-hour length.

The walkthrough is just in case I can't find how to get another ending. >.<;

I'll add it to the Media page some time today, after I do the second video. The third will be the other endings that I missed first time around. Here's hoping I can find them. :P

EDIT: Right, so I was able to get two bad endings. I'm not sure how to get any others except by changing where I use the first aid kit (used it in the infirmary and the library - both leading to bad ends.)
The Let's Play is now complete. It should be on your media page for this game.

Thank you so much for playing my game. :)
This was a cute little game indeed!!! I really liked the atmosphere aswell as the quaint storyline. I got the happy end on my second try once I mauled over all my options last night. The decisions are smart aswell, and the trick with the knife and pen was great, good thing I missclicked or I would've messed hat one up! I have no real criticism other than in chapter seven after the incident happens with your friend and the mirror the walking speed is PAINFULLY slow. I spent a little over ten minutes walking around and screaming at my computer screen and the walking speed wasn't helping my fusteration, It was probaby just me though. All I'm asking is if you put it that way for a specific purpose or if it was just like that for atmosphere's sake. All in all it was a great game and I enjoyed it thoroughly, keep making great games!!

Thank you so much for the feedback and playing my game.
And about the slow walking speed, I made it like that to "fit" with the atmosphere. And I thought the character was tired after everything he had been through, so... slow walking speed :)
This looks pretty cool, i'm downloading xD
So.

As a game that generates great mood and a sense of continuous, environmental success, I must say the game does quite well. Even with a limited setup created by virtue of using a SNES style RPG palette, the timing, moments, music crescendos, quick cuts to ghostly characters, etc., all well done, and the creepy encounter moments with otherworldly beings. The story itself is intriguing and the game plays with your head.

But I'm reluctant to call it a game. It most definitely does not having much in terms of gaming elements, save for Chapter 3. I got the impression the game was going for story and mood though, so I was willing to tolerate that and play along, and for the most part was rewarded. However, the game provides little in terms of cluing a player into what they're supposed to do to achieve multiple endings, and once the two bad endings concerning the First Aid Kit were achieved, I just lost motivation to do anything else in the game to try and find a better ending.

This stemmed mostly from there being no clear indicator of where in the game the story branches toward a good or bad ending. Was it Chapter One? Three? Five? Six? It seemed to rely on that sort of quirky 'did you do this' random setup JRPG's abused toward the end of their golden era, with little in the way of feeling you were making intelligent choices contributing toward your ending. In that sense I would say the game lets the player down.

So definitely high praise for the scares and interesting story, but sharp critique for the lack of clear markers in the story branch, lack of intelligent contributions toward the multi-ending system, and lack of gaming elements (a fault that would have been tolerable had the previous two issues been resolved).

Thanks for your comment, Jason. I'll try to do it better in my new project.

Yeah, that's what I meant. And I think I know what's going on there. First, you must download a software called "Winrar" and install it: Hit me hit me
Next, right click on "Seven Mysteries Eng (1.05).rar" and choose "Extract to Seven Mysteries Eng (1.05)\" and enjoy the game :)

I have a question. Did that track "Disappearance" come from another game? I could swear that I've heard it before, but I don't know where. It's been nagging at me for the past few days, now.

I know I'm late but whatever. Disappearance was soundtrack in "Ib"
