1. First steps:

After the intro, the mistress needs to change her clothes.
Until then she won’t leave the first floor, as long as she is in her baggy clothes.

Open the drawer in her room.
A picture of the inside of the drawer appears.
Beyond all these trinket is a KEY to the store room.



Although the mistress is having no BAG at that time, she can hold single little objects like a key.
Any other items can be picked up to a later time when she’s found the BAG.
(See chapter 2.1 where to find the BAG)

Outside the bedroom, she walks north to the locked store room.
Use the KEY to open the door.
There is a chest in the middle of the store room.
Open the chest and the mistress finds a piece of clothe that fits her.
Now you are free to explore the castle.


2.1 Maid awake / find BAG:

After the mistress has changed her clothes, she needs to find a way to grow back before her maid awakes up and sees her like this.

These following optional events makes that night passes to morning or wake up the maid:
(As long as it is night, the mistress can’t leave the castle.)

  • 2.1.1) Found book against malediction in library

  • 2.1.2) awake maid in kitchen

  • 2.1.3) found BAG


2.1.1 Go to the library. It is up to the tower on the second floor.
Find the BOOK AGAINST MELEDICTION. It is on the second bookshelf from the left.
You need to move a stool and step on it to reach the book (use HAND-icon).



After you’ve read the book, the night is nearly over.
If you leave the library, you have 6 min left until the maid awakes.
(The timer runs background and can’t be seen by the player).

This gives the player enough time to explore the rest of the castle or e.g. find the BAG.
Of course, the BAG can also be found if the maid is awake.

2.1.2 Go to the kitchen. It is downstairs to the basement.
If the mistress
  • touches the maid (in order to find the key for the washing room, see point 2.1.3) below)

OR
  • steps on the wet slop on the floor,

the maid awakes.

2.1.3 As soon as the BAG has been found, the maid is awake.
In order to find the BAG, one hint is that the door to the washing room.
This room is at the basement floor.
However, the door is closed.
The mistress goes to the kitchen.
On the corner left, next to the fireplace is a jar.
The KEY is inside, but the mistress is still having the key from store room.



Now there are two ways:
  • She can bring the key back to the drawer and takes then the other key from the jar

  • Or she drops the other key into the jar in order pick up the other key. However, the falling key causes a noise that wakes up the maid (if she is still sleeping).


Even if the mistress managed to get the BAG in the washing room, the maid get’s up.
  • Hide back to the washing room or run to the ground floor and run to the stairs above either downstairs or upstairs.

  • Or face the maid. (See: 2.2 Talking to the maid)


The variety of events can be combined,
e.g.
2.1.1) and 2.1.2);
2.1.1) and 2.1.3).

2.2 Talking to the maid

It is possible to hide from the maid without talking with her a single time.
(If the player prefers that the maid won’t see her),

If she sees you and asks who you are, you‘ve got these four answers.

  • 2.2.1) I’m your mistress

  • 2.2.2) Hi, I’m new here

  • 2.2.3) Nobody

  • 2.2.4) I believe I have to go


2.2.1) In this part the mistress tires to convince her maid that she is the mistress.

If this is the second time she talks with maid (either you told her you are 2.2.3) nobody or 2.2.4) you suddenly need to go, the maid won’t believe her.

If she tells her why she can’t return back to normal, the maid makes the girl to her own servant.
A GAME OVER screen appears. It is possible with UNDO to retry this whole conversation.

If the mistress tried to search the maids pocket while she sleeps, event 2.2.2) below will be triggered.

To the maid’s last question if she is really the mistress, she kicks you out if you say “No”.

If you insist that you are really the mistress, the maid requests from you 10 gold coins in order to pay a spy.
If she really can get these gold coins from the gatekeeper, then it’s the proof that she is the mistress.
However, the gatekeeper downstairs won’t let you pass.
So the mistress goes upstairs to her bedroom and picks up the 100 GOLD COINS she’s hidden in a plant. She can only take the gold if she’s got the BAG.

For this task she’s got 5min. (The timer runs background and can’t be seen by the player).
If the times up, the maid grows inpatient and kicks her out.


2.2.2) By choosing this answer, the mistress pretends to be the new maid.
  • If having the item LONG HAIR (one of the items for her potion), the maid won’t believe you and kicks you out!

  • If you don’t have this item, the maid puts the girl in the washing room and orders her to do the laundry (See 2.3 Pretending to be a maid)



2.2.3) If saying she is nobody, the maid kicks her out.

2.2.4) The maid won’t let the girl go. The girl tricks her by saying the mistress stands behind her. That way the mistress can run outside the castle.
If the mistress meets the maid a second time with the same answer, she kicks her out.


2.3 Pretending to be a maid

2.3.1 First task:
During the first assignment, the mistress can’t leave the castle.
But the good thing is, you are in the washing room, so you can take the BAG.



  • 2.3.1.1) Laundry not folded

  • 2.3.1.2) Laundry folded


Timer set for this task: 4 min.
(The timer runs background and can’t be seen by the player).

2.3.1.1) If the time is up, the maid kicks the girl out and closes the gate

2.3.1.2) If laundry is done, 1:30 minutes are taken away from the time. (Yes, folding laundry takes time!)

While the timer is running, the girl can explore the castle.
However, there are two events where the maid get suspicious and kicks the girl out.
  • If time is up and found one of the two LISTS for the magical potions.

  • If you got the COMB from the bedroom in your inventory.


2.3.2 Second task:
If you have done the first task successfully, the maid gives you a second duty:
You have to bring a pouch of 10 gold coins to a spy in the village.
However, if you try to enter the castle, the maid won’t let you and insists in doing your task.

There is no time limit for this task.


2.4 Closed Gate, how to get into the castle

If the maid kicks you and closes the gate, the only way to get in is to climb up the tower.
Ignore the vines beside the gates.
Jump over the ledges:


Ledge top left -> down -> top right ->tower.
Climb over the vines into the mistress room.

As long as the mistress can pass through the gate, she refuses to jump over the dangerous ledges.


2.5 Outside castle

The mistress can only leave her castle when its morning. During the night it’s too cold.
If the maid has locked the gate, the girl can climb up to the tower.

To the south it goes to the village.


3. Village

After entered the village, an old man comes and scolds at you; hindering you from going back the path to the castle.

3.1 Hot to get rid of old man

There are two ways to pass the old man.

3.1.1 Distraction
If you haven’t found the BAG, this is the only way to go back to the castle.
Talk to girl on the well. Choose from the dialogue the upper one.
If you are sure that you want to go back to the castle, talk to the old man. After the sorceress has past him, you won’t be able to return to the village until you’ve found the BAG.

3.1.2 Trap
There is a way to trap and capture the old man, so you can freely walk between the village and the castle.
To get the old man’s attraction, you need a SLINGSHOT.
You can make one with these following items:
  • somewhere south-west the village is an old hut. You can’t open the door because a WEDGE is stopping it, right below the door. Remove the WEDGE to enter. (On a second time you can pick it up).


    Inside, on the left side is a bucket. Pick the LEATHER STRAP up by clicking the bucket.




  • go North to the village, there you come to the monster camp. Click on the fire place to get a BRANCH.





  • at the village, click with the Hand-icon on the floor in order to pick up some ROCKS.


In the inventory menu, combine LEATHER STAP with the BRANCH. Now you have a SLINGSHOT.
Before encountering the old man, make sure that you have picked up the WEDGE in your inventory.
Use the SLINGSHOT to hit the old man and he starts following you.
Run into the old hut south-west of the village and climb up the ladder.
Once you are upstairs run down left, near the door.
Click on the light stop where the sun is shining through.
After you’ve jumped outside, the sorceress closes automatically the door with the wedge.
Congratulations, you got rid of this old pest!


3.2 Monster Camp

The monsters of the mistress won’t let anybody pass the way outside the village.
But they are hungry for human flesh, but the mistress has forbidden them to do so.
If the mistress throws a piece of MEAT from the kitchen to them, they start a fight.
However, if the mistress’s leaving now, she can’t return back.

The mistress will only leave if she got the following items:
  • STRAIN OF HER HAIR: pick the COMB from the mistress chamber and go to the inventory. Use the HAND-icon to pick a HAIR OF STRAIN.

  • YOUTH FORMULA: You can find it at the library on the podium

  • SPELL AGAINST MALEDICTION: You can find it on the bookshelf from left. It is on the upper right.
    In order to reach it, you need to move a stool there.




Then she can continue her quest to the Town of the West.


3.3 Bandit’s Camp

On her journey to the town of the west the sorceress gets captured by brigands.
If she’s got any valuables with her, the brigands will think that she is from a wealthy family and release you for a ransom.

If the mistress has nothing of any value, they are trying to sell her to the slave market.
