Story: Several months after Mario & Princess Peach saved Sarasaland from the likes of Bowser, Princess Daisy receives a report that the Birabuto Desert has been hit with a recent earthquake, and that an ancient temple under the sands has been unsealed because of it. The princess has since deployed a team of archeologists to check out the temple, but before they could explore it, waves of aliens came pouring out of several of the temple's portals, have stolen the shine sprites that have kept the temple sealed, and have fled back to their home planet with them. However, these aliens are under the command of a new leader. Is it Bowser? No, he's still licking his wounds from his last battle with Mario and Princess Peach. If not Bowser, then who? Who could this alien leader be? Since Mario & Luigi are currently on another adventure, it's up to Princess Daisy to find out just who these guys are, find the shine sprites and reseal the temple to save Sarasaland on her own.

Objective: As Princess Daisy, you must travel through five zones of the alien planet via a hub system and find the shine sprites, then find and defeat the mysterious alien leader. The other characters have been locked out.

This is a sequel to Sarasaland Adventure 1, however unlike Sarasaland Adventure 1, this game features a hub system. Each world has 7 levels, and two shine sprites to find. There are only 75 shine sprites in total as opposed to the previous game's 190 stars. Unlike Sarasaland Adventure 1, the levels in this game focus more on exploration. The levels start out easy and gradually increase in difficulty.

DISCLAIMER: This game comes with its own version of SMBX; this is because some of the default sounds have been replaced and every level in the game uses music not already found in default version of SMBX. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you play the game using the copy of SMBX that comes with the package!

Finished! For now. Maybe...

After several months of working hard on the game, it is finally completed. Though, I may plan on adding a special zone at some point, and if I do, it won't be any time soon. If I don't add it, then this will be the final version.

The game (more specifically, the first two zones) have went through many changes since the demo version was released, so if I were you, I would start a brand new game rather than continue from where you left off (if you played through the demo, that is). I lowered the amount of shine sprites per level from three to two, so now there are a total of 75 shine sprites to collect instead of whatever number I had planned before. If there are any glitches or bugs or weird stuff, please let me know. I also added level information and boss strategies on the page, so feel free to check those out.

Enjoy!

Just don't make your levels ridiculously long and I will play the hell out of this. :)

Looks solid as always.
Would this work with Sarasaland Adventure 1's version of SMBX or do both games need to be separate?
It should. When I started SA2, I pretty much copied the SFX/BGM's from SA1, so for the most part, you should be able to use SA1's version of SMBX with SA2. You just won't hear the stuff that was specifically changed for use in SA2, like hearing Daisy's "Oh no!" when you die, but rather the default stuff.
hey there is a great difference between the original music and the music in this game. which device that you use to change the pitch of music.
