The Journal updates periodicially throughout the story, keeping track of information relevant to solving the case. By referencing the Journal and paying attention to the story, you can solve the crime before Detective Butler reveals the answer.

-Features a seemingly-impossible locked room mystery. Based on player feedback, we've re-written many lines, extended the final chapter, and added an epilogue. Estimated reading time is around 5 hours.

-There are nine CGs to be unlocked throughout the game, and a gallery to view them in at any time.

-There are 28 music tracks, two of which are new to the re-release, and a gallery to play them in at any time.

-Press F2 to save a screenshot to C:/ProgramData/Butler1/

-New ending and epilogue for the 2017-onward release.
