The Dark King has kidnapped the Princess and cast Hero into a far far away place. It's up to Hero to save the Princess. He has to brace through 30+ levels of monsters set in many different settings ranging from forest to caves to seas. Play as Hero alone or hire a few others to help you in your quest.

This is a game running on Falco's Pearl ABS Liquid system. It's not a normal turn based RPG but instead a real-time hack and slash game. Packed with many types of weapons with different capabilities. Bow might be excellent for distance but not the best when it comes to power.

Give this game a go and see how Pearl has transformed RPG Maker into an action packed gaming experience. As the keyboard keys settings are different from other games, I hope players take a few minutes to familiarize themselves with the keys for a better gaming experience.

If you find a bug, please send me your save game and I will try to improve this game further.

Hey....wait a minute, what are trying to get away with ????????

I chose the nice princess, not the hot Dark Princess and the game married me to the wrong girl. Granted she had nice.....but I'm the good guy and should have married the Good Princess so I want my money back...oh wait, the game was free :)

limsoonchion, it was a simple game but extremely enjoyable.

Excellent graphics and nice new monsters with ABS which I really like.
Maybe you could do a Zelda game which is what got me started playing this kind of game.

Oh, a bug at the end? This is strange. Will have to check back again. And thanks for the feedback. As for Zelda clone? Funny enough, I've never tried Zelda series. Might give it a try to see. There's so many versions out there. Is there one similar to RPG Maker's engine?
It would seem that both choices before the last battle would lead you to the bad ending. Is there a trick to getting the good ending and if so? what might it be?
So it would seen that there are a few bugs that I've discovered,

Also, should you use the floating mall scroll while inside the floating mall, there is no way back to the world map

OMG! Thanks! I found the error everyone was talking about. My bad guys. The ending is suppose to be different when you choose different paths in the end. I've rectified this I hope. I made the mistake of deleting all my save files before compiling it. So I can't really really test this. I could play the game all over again but been busy lately. Can someone email me a save or test the good ending for me? I've upload Hero Pursuit 1.2. As for using the scroll while in the floating mall, I haven't figure that out yet...

i played enough to get to the final stage and got destroyed :D
only have 1 potion
so theirs not much can do XD

atm my major dislike in this game is stat potions which are in my top 10 most disliked things in games unless theirs a clear limit if your just able to use them until all your stats are 999 its no fun at all
if it had a limit for example only 5-10 of each potion could be used on each character then that would be acceptable but especially after seeing bloodstone(rpg game on here)the no limit 9999 even if that costs alot of money i despise them :(

other then that looks cool so far gj :3

i beat the game did not expect 2 endings was a cool addition and was a bit longer then i was expecting was a nice treat :D

i hated the flying stages just sitting their w8ting for them to attack me it was terrible-dis

the final boss stage you can walk thru most of the walls :D

id say the plot was simple but the gameplay was pretty fun at first tho i did get a tad repetitive and i never used skills until the end i dont know if all of them work some did not do anything(including target)

the mario styled world map,replayable stages,female drawings and lots of items are what made this enjoyable check it out :D

Thanks for playing and also the video. I knew the flying stages was a bit limited but wanted variety in the game play. As for the character turning into air ship... ha ha, it's poor eventing. Sorry. If I know scripting, I'll improve it. :)

wanted to apologize for not doing a full playthru which i was planning too but got demotivated when the game crashed for some reason stage 6 specifically crashes quite often
just finished your ancient death game loved it

This is the first crash report on Princess Pursuit. I've tried all sorts of scripts but still can't solve the problem but thanks for playing.

Hey dude, I've got a solution to your map problem/mall keeping you stuck at the mall.
I'm assuming you are saving the player's x and y coords once the scroll is used and the exit thing makes you teleport back, that's what I ASSUME, I am not sure.

Well if that is the case,
everytime the player is in the mall, activate a switch called 'In mall' and once the exit thing is used, the switch 'In mall' should be disabled. Then go to your common event for the mall scroll, and make a conditional branch

Conditional branch: make sure to tick set handling when conditions don't apply
Switch - 'In mall' is on
@>Text: You are already in the mall!
: Else
@> Your normal event processing for your mall teleporter
Branch end

This will work, but remember to turn off 'In mall' when the teleporter is being used. Also while in the mall it should be an
Autorun event:
Activate switch In Mall
Erase Event

Erase event is key because it will make the event run everytime you enter the map - then stop event, therefore do not use self switches or any switches to see when a player is in the mall.

I walk to the end and when I try to go back I can't go further than the first corner.
So I must begin from the beginning. Else the litle I played it's was fun!

imsoonchiong, if I were to play this, can you give me an educated estimate towards just how many hours this would take to complete, both with and without doing all the side quests.
I havn't really played much of these games before but I really love voice acting so i try my best to stay away from stories via just text but this game looks amazing so im going to play it I hope your still around whoever made this game because I will be subscribing and also hoping for new games that looks amazing coming from you

Thanks for the vote of confidence. You know what? I had the same idea about voice acting when I started out doing this. I've even gotten some software to try and narrate the voice for me but as you know, robot voices weren't cutting it. I wish I had time and budget for proper voice talents, that would be so awesome. English is not my main language, typing them with lots of grammer is one thing, reading them out loud with asian accent is another.... maybe only works for some ninja story. :)
