September 6th, 2020:
Version 2.091
-changed positions of Dragons in final dungeon to spread them out and no longer required to manually skip the Dragons to continue on
-minor mapping and animation changes, and audio adjustments

Legends Of Illarion 2 is the long awaited prequel to the 2009 RM2K3 game Legends Of Illarion. The prequel takes place in ancient Illarion at the dawn of time, many centuries before the events of the first game. I consider this game mostly to be an old school JRPG.

You don't need to play LOI before playing LOI2. You can play either game before the other and there won't be too much spoilers involved. The first LOI contains a larger more diverse world with more interrelated story elements and characters, while LOI2 is a little easier, smaller, and more straight forward than the first game. I actually recommend you play this game first.

"We are but mortals who cannot fathom the true nature of the gods. Whether they are kind and benevolent, or vengeful and angry, I cannot say. The only thing that is certain, is that their power is real, and we must always be wary..."

The world of Illarion is at its infancy, having been created by the gods for only mere centuries. An Entity appears, born from the evil growing in the very hearts of mortals, bringing destruction and chaos to the realms. The gods await worthy heroes to appear and defeat the Entity. However, as time passes by, none step forth to save Illarion.

In desperation, one goddess intervenes in mortal affairs, using deception to cause a group of mortals to begin a journey to defeat the Entity. But do they truly fight to save Illarion, or do they fight to fulfill their own selfish motives? As they squabble amongst themselves and get ever closer to the promised end of their journey, the gods play their cruel hand and begin to reveal their true intentions...

Hello. I just finished this game, and it was very fun to play. I really enjoyed it, and it has definitely become one of my favourite games here on this website.

As for the characters, well, what can I say? I really love Nargun, both in battle and in the story due to his character and how he becomes later on. The rest of the characters were also fun to play as, although I kind of don't like Elara due to her flawed view of always doing the logical thing. Sometimes you have to listen to your heart as well, you know? I kind of forgave Moshran for his total obedience to Elara at the end of the game, as he really shines there. My main party mostly consisted of Nargun, Sirani, Cherga, Ronagan and Oldra, even though Cherga and Ronagan comes way later in the game.

I also love Dai Luk for some reason. I don't know why, I've just always loved the villains.

Also, it was very funny at the end where Dyluck battled that man (forgot his name) in the style of the first game, along with the music. That's a great detail right there.

Overall, great job.

Oh wow thank you! Glad you enjoyed the game and really appreciate the kind words! I really wish I could have done more with the characters' stories, but I'm glad you liked what was there. And it's always nice to hear when someone gets the little references like the music and viewpoint in the epilogue battle :)
this is just a little thing I noticed I don't know if it would be called a bug, but if you return back to the village the mc starts at after beating the water bad guy, nothing changes, maybe you could make it stop you and say something like "I don't need to go back" or maybe have the dialogue inside change idk, but its something I thought you should know

Hey there, thanks for playing and thanks for the advice. Yes it's true it would be better to change all the dialogue after a major event. But I would also say that after you beat the boss, it will still take some time for the environment to fully recover, so I would say that nothing has immediately changed from the perspective of the regular people. At least, that would be my convenient excuse for not doing the extra work ;-)
Can someone tell how to open a game that is in a crdownload format.

I think your browser might be blocking the actual file, so you have an incomplete file format. Try looking at the top right of your browser for Downloads, and look for an option to keep the file or allow it to be finished downloading or something like that. Or try downloading it again first if you can't find it anymore.
Apparently, the finale Dai Luk is at merely the same level as Iradeph in terms of power, and weaker than the prologue Dai Luk, if you don't count being able to resurrect the others.

Wow did you record all those values manually while playing or something? But yeah I figured since you already had to fight 4 other enemies in that battle, I didn't want to give him too much HP to drag out the battle for too long. Anyways thanks for playing!
I love this game so much. Just a quick question though; what are the character's max level? 50? 99?

Great game right here, just saying.

The max level is 99, but the expected level to finish the game is maybe somewhere around 50 to 60, I don't remember exactly at the moment.

Glad to hear you enjoy the game, thanks!
