Great horror atmosphere


Short, misterious and creepy are the best words that I can think of for this introduction. Even if simple and complexity-lacking, basic even, it´s still praised by many users of our network and other rpg players as a good exponent of what Horror means. Eerie atmosphere and enjoyable playability.


Good for newcomers at the Horror RPG genre. Short duration and easy challenges; no tough puzzles.

Environment (Art & Soundtrack)

It´s very good. Illumination is scarce in general, scarcer at scarier moments, you wonder what´s around in the shadows. It´s a pity that it´s such a simple environment and a few items to interact with though. A changing environment can surprise you -and take you to your death- if you´re not careful enough. Given the short length of the game it´s not a tough issue, even if you didn´t save before. The environment is simple but scary.

The music is full of suspense; it complements the scary moments properly.


Interface and user interaction

Quite friendly. The items are shining so you don´t even need to bother searching for hidden key stuff or places. Items are used automatically and the menu have the only things you need. Being able to save at any time is always a calming faculty on horror games.


Plot Development

I´m afraid it´s information lacking. We don´t get a clear answer on who the protagonist is, why she´s there and what she´s supposed to do, though we get hints by the end of the game.

(According to the diary, there are parents (it seems the father killed himself) and two sisters not related by blood. The protagonist could be the eldest or the youngest one (or the wife); we don´t know.)



Horror Style

This game, while having jumpscares, does not depend on them (thaaaaat much) to scare people. That alone is important for a good horror game. Besides that the game can scare you in different situations, sometimes having gore, sometimes with inexplicable happenings.
(when decapitating the teddy bear there´s blood and pieces of him, quite a gore scene. When coming back to the room you awakened from (where you start the game) everything dissapears except one furniture, colocated in the middle of the room, while at the same time everything turns red in the room. At some other times even the house itself changes shape in impossible ways)


You don´t know what´s happening. You don´t know what may happen if you´re not careful enough. Every door you open is a suspense-filled mistery.

This is one of the game´s best features. While commonplace and typical, it´s one of the reasons this game became modestly famous around the genre.
