I've stopped production on this game, so it is now, officially cancelled.

You will need the VX RTP to run this game:
http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages

To install:

First, make a new folder, and call it Tristian: LoTL.
Put the compressed download into that folder as well as the Audio folder and extract like normal with WinRAR or WinZip.
Install the fonts included if you don't have them yet.

Basic Controls:

Apart from the usual arrow/directional keys:

Alt + Enter - Toggle Full Screen mode
Enter/Spacebar/Z/ - Action key
Esc/X - Main Menu/Cancel an interaction
Shift - Sprint
Left Shift + Z = Pull an object towards you ( like a crate or boulder )

out the door

13 days before I am supposed to 'celebrate' being on this site for 7 years, i've decided to leave rmn as well. having grown uncomfortable with the circle-jerkers ( aka the devs whose games get the most attention and all their friends ) and the few rotten apples here, it's simply become an unhealthy place for me to hang around.

while i won't be posting here anymore, i'd like to stay in contact with some of the members here by ways of building an e-mail list ( yes, it's a little different from the usual chatrooms like discord/skype, but i see them as massive timesinks. i never get anything done ) informing subscribers about my future projects. so... if you're interested, drop me a pm and we'll see where the road takes us. the simple gesture would mean a lot to me, because it shows that some of you still care. who knows? maybe you'll get a surprise or two.

maybe.

maybe some of you hate me for broken promises i couldn't keep, maybe some of you lost your respect for me because I couldn't keep doing what I loved to do. or maybe some people just hated on Enelysion because it became popular...

who knows? it doesn't matter anyway.
i'm going to keep on being a creative workaholic.

So long, and keep gaming
i was always too serious for this place, anyway

Oh yeah. I remember that. He overtook kenton in MS ( imagine if nhubi did enter that one, lol ). XD But I got mine from the RM Venture Event where I had to make a game in a week.
Well, you don’t necessary NEED to do something big - but I can’t complain if you give us a nice present either way. :)

Oh, and congrats again on getting a development spotlight for this week! I was wondering if my eyes were deceiving me when I saw Tristy up there on the front page.

(the most MS I got from a single event was 175 :D ).

That’s quite a lot. The most I’ve ever received during one event was 200 for the Reviewrim event that was going on in last February. It’s too bad you weren’t around during that time, nhubi, because you probably would have scored a ton of sweet, sweet Dovahkin badges and just piled on the makerscore, just like Deckiller did when he got about 24 of those bloody things. >_<
*happy dance*

Only 389 MS to go then. Guess the MOG event will help a bit ( the most MS I got from a single event was 175 :D ).

I will be releasing a new demo on the 26th of this month. It will also mark my five year anniversary since joining this site. ^^ So I need to do something pretty big.

Congrats Yuna, another step to that 3K goal :)
Hey hey, you got a Dev spotlight, and the upper of the two too :D

I must be crazy but...

Tristian has hit the 8 hr mark. Other RM-related stuff.

Since I started development on Enelysion in early 2011, I have wracked up at least
7665 hrs = 3.5 yrs x 365 x 5 hrs avg. a day working on my projects. So yeah, nearly 7700 hours on mapping, dialogue writing, gameplay, the works.

So I gotta laugh when people think sinking 300 hours into their Steam-purchased VXAce is a lot. XD

Analogy: If a person needs to put in at least 10,000 hrs to master his/her craft, and if that amount of hours would equate to Lvl 99 in RPG terms, then I'm at least Lvl 77. ^^

Oh, shit... I thought I was the only one who worked on my game 5 hours average a day! Well, guess that makes two of us. Similar to you I spent a hell amount of time working on my game. The one I currently have is the one I've been working on for about 6 years.

...well, to be fair, 4?

Worked on it for 2 years, took a 2-year break, and now working on it for another 2 years. I'll surpass you one day. One dayyyyyy! *shakes fist at you jokingly*
Keep up that kind of pace and you just might.
Yeah, I'm a contract worker, so I tend to have a lot of free time. XD If only I could turn game-making into an actual career... *sigh*

5 hours a day? For 3.5 years? Are you kidding me? That's not a hobby, that's a job.

Yeah I'm with Dyhalto, level 177 at least.

I'll make it so that when Darcy decided to become a Ninja, she can lob all sorts of objects at enemies. Would be pretty hilarious.
Aw, I thought you could like throw it at an enemy, like one of those shuriken stars thingies, because the crackers are so incredibly stale and hard because they were sitting out on the store shelves for centuries - but HP and MP recovery is just as good.

I actually want put in that item in one of my own games now, too. It’s just so stupid and random that it just works.
Recovers 25HP and 10MP. Only the port towns sell it, since the sailors pretty much live off it. ^^
All righty, then. Btw, I actually added an item called 'Salted Crackers' to the game. XD Couldn't resist.
Nah, I think the current demo’s length is just about right at where it’s at; there’s no need to release another one since you’ve already released two of them already. Just continue to focus on what you’re currently doing and get the full version out already.

Besides, one cracker is all I need to satisfy myself until I can get both of my hands on the entire box (where’d you hide it, mom???)
Just a question. Should I release a 'proper', longer demo? The current one is a little short, but it does give a little taste of the cracker. XD I'm thinking of maybe doing a 2-3 hour version that will be final, at least until the final game release.

The perfect game will never be made.
I'll make it.

And then Addit will give it a shitty score.

Actually why would someone get turned away by 2.5 review, that's the average.
Except that with a plethora of 3+ star games out there, why wouldn't random browsers overlook a mere 2.5 star one?
So yes, Addit is the bad guy here. One bad mofo.

(if the final release is as good as the tech demo was, I'll bring that score up a few)

You my dear Dyhalto are, what we call in the trade, a stirrer. :) (not a bad thing, by the by).
