Progress so far:
- Passed the 2.5 mark for the game and the 100 map mark.
- Made several large ( 60x60 + ) maps.
- Started on Chapter III ( which will be the last one in the demo ). It will
take the game past the 3.5 hour mark, possibly hitting 4 hours.
- Worked on several cutscenes, made a few elemental battlers and a battleback.
Front view aaaall the way. Side-view is so overused. :\
Trabant the BAMF. And yes, he is playable. ^^
Oh, and its an open alpha release ( unencrypted, so the player can see how the game was put together ). Hope you guys are as excited as I am for the release. =)

Can't wait for the release :)
But would not understand the first thing about "how the game was put together" :)

I'm glad that things are progressing nicely. Personally, I don't have any issue with front view battles. Got used to them since my Phantasy Star gameplaying days. Other people though, might not care for them.
God, Phantasy Star. IV was my first ever RPG... It made me fall in love with the genre. I would have never started making RPGs if not for that game.
Mine was actually the original Phantasy Star ... I played through it during a winter holiday during which the sun never came out for 13 straight days (talk about cabin fever! ;P).
Talk about Phantasy Star... The first Phantasy Star game I've ever played was Phantasy Star Universe. Then after getting more interested in this Phantasy Star series from playing PSO2, I tried the original Phantasy Star... God blimey... I should've expected that from an RPG of its generation :(
*cough**cough* I'm fine with front view too; they do have their own aesthetics. I do expect battle commentaries (battle log) from a front view battle system. Spice up my imagination more :P ... You still have the choice to not put any battle logs though.

@educhuy:You're old. :p
But young @ heart ... :D I'll give you a clue: I was a freshman in college during the holiday I played PS.

Okay, I don't feel so old now :)
Good thing I've held up pretty well over time ... I haven't need to resort to Botox, just yet, thanks to good genetic makeup that makes people think I'm much younger than I really am. Probably, not doing things that age you quickly such as smoking, helped along the way. It was weird the first time ever I was called "Sir" and some people who are definitely younger than I am still refer to me as "youthful one".
