Pretty things and world maps

Man, working on two projects is not easy ( Vol II of Enelysion and this baby of mine ;_; I don't know what I want to work on more... And I have ideas for both games ). Anyhoo...

I managed to finish up the largest part of the world map ( a 350x350 zigguruat >< ) but that's probably still weeny if I'm looking at Hero's Realm or FF: Blackmoon Prophecy's world maps ( o_0 ). HR's world map is a thing of beauty. My god. An inspiration to all gam-makers.

No Tristian, you can't warp now...

Started working on more skillsets, finished up a couple of more cutscenes. Will also start implementing the Teleport system from Enelysion.

Just two more questions for you guys. Should I implement a crafting system like in Enelysion ( though admittedly, that was a last minute addition to the game and the player will use existing items to craft stuff in LoTL. Hey, I want replayability for this gam, kay ;)?) and should I make different portraits for job classes when certain characters promote in the game? ( Tristian, Ianna, Dante and maybe Darcy ).

The TripleD. ( Because I must add in an image of him or Tristian XD).

And is it me, or do the FE portraits match those VX chibis simply beautifully? 0_o

Haha, FF isn't the only series with ridiculously good-looking characters. Pick up any Fire Emblem before Awakening ( art is horrible >< ) and you'll see why.

To me, Awakening's art style is good (I'm used to unique styles akin to No More Heroes, so... XD). I do understand that you prefer the older FE games, but please... not the NES ones... For an extra, why not have their portraits animated like those FE games? (*Psst, afriendofminehasmadeananimatedportraitscript*) FE portraits do the best justice when animated!

Crafting system and different portraits for different class, huh... No and no. The first one is better if you plan it from the start. I suggest to not implement it too, or at least, make it distinct compared to Enelysion. The second one, I just simply don't recommend it. Is it okay for that? Not only you have to provide the portraits, but you must adapt the portraits at the moment they wear the class, too! I'm fine with it, just consider your ability. Then again, the decision is in your hands, yuna.
Personally, I wouldn't even do promotions unless there are forked paths. If you went that route, then promoted portraits would be a good thing, as long as they're not too difficult to make.
I should be able to do some promoted class portraits ( FE9, after all, has over 40-odd portraits for my editing pleasure >:) ). NES FE portraits, hell no. And FE13's char designs were like "Wtf are they wearing? ( Serge, I'm looking at you ><. And Callum looks as though he is sitting in a toilet bowl. :\ )

lolwut?

FE10. That's what a General should look like. XD

Anyhoo, that's just my personal preference.
I actually liked the knight armour in Awakening. It makes them look like huge, medieval tanks. :p

Not to mention the tower shields. Nothing is getting through those except electricity ...
I'm partial to the Berwick Saga armor knights. Now that's what a metal hulk should look like.

Toilet Bowl-kun is so top heavy, all you have to do is give him a prod and he'll never get back on his feet.
Extremely top heavy. XD Now as for Langrisser's armour, but that's another thing. I know your char avvy comes from that game, Dy. XD But hey, this is turning into a discussion on character art. :p
