Bestiary!

Bestaries are dope. I'm a big fan of flavor text alongside useful information, so I like tossing it in whenever I can. Just something I wanted to show you guys.





Oh, and uh...it has actual pertinent information as well.

I was gonna mention it the last time I saw these bestiary entries (on Twitter or something) but it'd be a good idea to add some sort of window/background around the sprite/info boxes there, for visibility. Maybe just a darker square of the same tiles with a border or something.

Other than that it looks great!

Yeah, that's a solid idea. The visual look of the bestiary is still a WIP, it's complex enough for me to hammer down the nuts and bolts in the code before I do anything else.

That's definitely on the list though!

I really like a lot of this stuff, here and on your other blogs. However, I have to say Homefront Soldier's pose looks weird. I'm not sure you can execute any worthwhile attack when your sword points directly backwards. And...that tentacle-like thing is a leather cloak, right?
