:Story:

Aeons ago, before planets and worlds came to be in the fabric of time,
Goddess Gaea the creator of Life and Rebirth, created six mystical elements
which made the foundation of a world. Nature, Fire, Water, Earth, Light,
and Shadow, these elements coalesced to form planets full of life and energy.

The world you live in is known as Lakria, a planet blooming with lush life
and full of wonderful mysteries and legends. Many inhabitants of the world
often give praise and thanks to Gaea for bestowing them such a life to live.

Until one day, the energy of the Lakria appears to be waning and the planet slowly begins to start dying. Everyone is in shock and is wondering what might be causing the planet's pain, they began to look up at the sky to Gaea for a miracle, hoping
she will once again visit the planet and bless it with rebirth.

:Spiritual Energy:
In the game, energy and spiritualism are heavily referenced throughout.
Spiritual energy pertains to the very essence that makes living things..
well, living. It is also the makeup of thoughts, emotions, and one's being.

There is positive Spiritual Energy, which is basically positive emotions
like kindness, optimism, purity, etc, which can really make one's aura
visible and shine. Negative Energy on the other hand is the exact
opposite, evil, greed, lust, doubt, and envy.

Spiritual Energy is also a source of which Magic is drawn from,
this allows one to use Magic depending on how great/type their energy is.

It is noted that in the world of Lakria, there are extremely powerful entities of spiritual energy that are capable of manifesting into physical material depending on what they seem to represent.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate that :) believe me, I'd really love to complete everything I have planned already lol ><

Hm I do think a demo should be in order to explain a good part of the game and really capture the visuals more through animation lol sometimes pictures don't do justice. I'll get to it soon :)
Oh wow, this looks pretty nice! Definitely subscribing to this project. Your screenshots are amazing. I love how you use pictures (at least in that one screenshot) to compliment your maps. Not a fan of that default RTP battle-backdrop to be honest, though.

Other than that, can't wait to see more! =)

Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad to see people are taking somewhat of
an interest in this project :) Yeah I've been using pictures and some
backdrops as part of the terrain and areas, most really compliment, and
they look great!

About the rtp backdrop, it is the only one plus the ship bg
that is rtp lol I know what you mean, but I thought they fit the battle chars. :)
Somehow in the process of enlarging the picture the game started me off in Wuss mode sso I am kicking bootay. At least i can start it over and hit the difficulty on the next run through. What I want to ask is where is the Snow place....I forget the name exactly. I just finished the volcano area.

Quick question, the volcano area was not accesible in the demo, how were
you able to play through that? Lol, and I cannot recall there being
a snowy area in my game so far. Can you explain more on what happened?

I just want to ask one simple question: why are you using the Hero's Realm mini-map as the map of your Lakria?

To be honest, I had stumbled across the image upon some random resource site, didn't realize it was a piece of work for another game, now that I do, it would seem like I have some changing to do. Simple mistake, simple correction. Thank you for pointing
that out though.

It's the strangest thing... I really wanted to play this game, but every time I open it, I get a "not implemented" error. I've got the RTP and all other Rm2k3 games work on my computer. Is there something different about your game, like a plug-in or something that might be causing this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I realized it had something to do with the title screen MP3. I sent it through GoldWave and reimported it to RM2k3 and it plays fine.

If you want, here's the file that works for me, so if anyone else brings up the same problem, you could copy this into the next version.

Thank you for pointing this out, because I just may have found the solution.

The game uses some patches from Cherry Tree such as UnlockPics, and PicsinBattle, there is a file in the directory that let's the exe.file know it's patched.

For some reason, that file wasn't included in the upload, I shall make another zip with everything installed this time!
edit: I seem to have the same problem as the person above... your patch wont help ^^ don't think the back file tells the exe anything... it's just a backup file...
Well at least I don't have a problem when I open the project in rpg2003 ^^;
I had similar problems once... you should test different patching orders... or get cherry's help ;)

Hm, interesting, well I could try just using the original exe file from my current project and replace it with one specified in the demo. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what else to try.

Awesome find by the way, big thanks, but was that the only problem for why it wouldn't open?

I mean, all the other mp3 files on the game are the same types of files, not sure why it would be that one? So is everything playable for you so far?

From what I can see, it turns out when I compiled a
gamedisk from rm2k3, it wrote the folder with the
default exe, instead of the one that was already patched.

I have tried the game on a different computer with
no info of rpg maker at all and got it working. :)

It was just a matter of replacing the exe. >.<
I think this project deserves some feedback ;) Don't understand how it still has these few comments... (hopefully you cleaned that error... Still can't start it without the maker even with the new exe... must be because I still have the non-working audio files? It stops when the window is called "active movie window")

Your use of the rpg maker 2003 is actually very good! However from what I've seen up until now you could replay your demo and do some fine-tuning :)
-Enemies a little too hard for the beginning of the game (It might only be me but I also miss the Auto Battle Command for the battles in which you only use the attack command anyway...)
-Some minor bugs on Events who move the hero on prone ground or on earthplatforms in water where you jump over; In the cave the background doesn't fit to the battlers position thus he's standing in the wall ^^
-For me the running script had problems after some time playing where I lagged...
-I didn't like the save points... It takes way too long until you can finally save... just take out the first animation and take out the dialog at save points where you can only save ;) (my opinion)

First off, I want to thank you for taking the time for the feedback.

1. I'm really not sure what the problem could be with starting the game, I tried it on my little bro's computer without rm2k3 or any related information and it worked. It may be that same audio file that you have when the first download was available originally, it has been replaced in the further versions.

2. For the enemies being hard, I had recently taken off the attack and intelligence influence for their skills, but it appears I left them on for earlier monsters. This has been fixed!

3. With the bugs where you're jumping platforms, what exactly bugs out? Can you specify please, I'd like to get that fixed, oh and about the battle layout placement, this has been fixed as well! :)

4. The running script works okay for the most part, but I have noticed a little problems with it too, I'll get that fixed and going underway!

5. Now that I realize it, you're right about the savepoints, this shall be fixed as well!

Once again, a lot of thanks for your time inputting feedback! :D Hope you liked it so far!

Sup' Kush. Thought I'd throw down some of my observations. The game looks quite nice, I appreciate the amount of effort that went into it visually. As for the points mentioned above, I had no problem with running the game, no errors or anything on my end. Not too sure if I still have the 2K3 rtp but either way it runs without a hitch. Second point, the enemies do seem to drop off. I particularly don't mind a difficult encounter but that being said some people play for the narrative, and I believe the popular opinion is that if I can just press the space bar to win then the battles are little more than a distraction from said narrative. Your event positioning is easily remedied and as you have stated, it has been corrected. No harm no foul there; I didn't get stuck in a well. I tend to play in short bursts so I never noticed any lag with the script, may have to do with cache-ing or something technical, so meh.

Ok, ok. Final two points. As for save points, I'm the type of person who can appreciate the mechanic. In a dungeon and there's a save point? Here comes a boss. They can be used to strategically add tension, whether in general where the player feels the need to progress to a save point to preserve his work or as in the aforementioned boss situation. Worse comes to worse, add an item that calls a save event that's expendable. That's just my personal observation, though. The last thing I want to mention is that you may want to go over the script, as I noticed a few grammatical errors. As in like words missing here or there. Right in the intro sequence, actually, I believe there's a missing verb. It wasn't enough of a deterrent, obviously, but some fine combing of the dialogues may be in order.

All in all, great job so far.

Awesome man, thanks for the input, I really appreciate that!

I would agree that the biggest part of this game would be the Story,
but I kinda wanted to add more of a feel to the battling system, maybe
sort of balance it out. Because if it's too easy, people will say it's too easy,
and if it's too hard, well then vice versa.

I'm trying to implement a great balance between all the elements in the game,
but make the story shine the most. After all, nowadays, it seems to be one
of the most captivating elements in many games, especially RPGs.

For the save point systems, I have fixed this to where they transition a lot swifter, and more efficiently. I sorta based the save points and their occurrences
as to those in Zelda:Skyward Sword, there's a good amount of them, so they never
feel scarce, and their implemented in the right locations, e.g (where it feels like a good time to save.)

As for the text and dialogue, I agree that you're right, I may have to do a lot of skimming throughout and correct a lot of the bugs, cutoffs, and maybe ill-placed syntax. Thanks for the input once again, I do appreciate that! I hope you really enjoyed what I have out so far! :)
