:Story:

Aeons ago, before planets and worlds came to be in the fabric of time,
Goddess Gaea the creator of Life and Rebirth, created six mystical elements
which made the foundation of a world. Nature, Fire, Water, Earth, Light,
and Shadow, these elements coalesced to form planets full of life and energy.

The world you live in is known as Lakria, a planet blooming with lush life
and full of wonderful mysteries and legends. Many inhabitants of the world
often give praise and thanks to Gaea for bestowing them such a life to live.

Until one day, the energy of the Lakria appears to be waning and the planet slowly begins to start dying. Everyone is in shock and is wondering what might be causing the planet's pain, they began to look up at the sky to Gaea for a miracle, hoping
she will once again visit the planet and bless it with rebirth.

:Spiritual Energy:
In the game, energy and spiritualism are heavily referenced throughout.
Spiritual energy pertains to the very essence that makes living things..
well, living. It is also the makeup of thoughts, emotions, and one's being.

There is positive Spiritual Energy, which is basically positive emotions
like kindness, optimism, purity, etc, which can really make one's aura
visible and shine. Negative Energy on the other hand is the exact
opposite, evil, greed, lust, doubt, and envy.

Spiritual Energy is also a source of which Magic is drawn from,
this allows one to use Magic depending on how great/type their energy is.

It is noted that in the world of Lakria, there are extremely powerful entities of spiritual energy that are capable of manifesting into physical material depending on what they seem to represent.

Hey I have a bug to report not sure if this issue has been addressed. Spoilers*
After leaving the water temple and being stranded on the island, The goddess statue has a sign that asks you to serenade it with music. When I played the flute the character turned blue and stated that the ancient flute can now be used underwater (clearly seems to should have occurred during the underwater section). Afterwards, the character becomes stuck in place and unable to continue. Luckily, this part is not required so I was able to continue by skipping it altogether.
I've completed the game with all quests done, all achievements, and all S ranks at just under 45 hours. I'd have to say this game is easily one of the best games I've played on this site and stands proudly with any classic rpg, fan-made or otherwise. No game is without it's faults though and I had a list of more bugs I had found and general suggestions, but matski a post or two up literally stole my thunder and listed the rest of the bugs and covered all my suggestions, so defer to his/her wisdom.
I'm in Alfard right now, great game so far! I just wanted to know where to find the old grandma's son (the one you save from thugs and says her son invited her to see the play), she says he has blond hair but I haven't been able to find him. On a similar note, can the church book and cafe card quests be completed before infiltrating the castle?(I'm assuming they're located in the hideout you need a password to get in).

Also, a bug I found is that even after serenading the statue in the deserted island you still can't use the flute underwater (you can warp underwater from another location, but then you can't warp back out).

As for suggestions, I think some nice QOL features would be:
1)to automatically sort your items, otherwise it ends up being a bit of a mess when you want to use either consumables or side members.
2)a way to either skip or fast-forward cutscenes, so if you lose a boss fight, you don't need to rewatch the whole scene again each time.
3)a way to know how many items/chests we have before completing the temples (otherwise if you missed something and want the S, you need to redo the boss fight and cutscenes)
:UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT:
I have uploaded the newest version of the game already!
It should be the 2.0 version. This will fix all the bugs that were
stated in the release blog as well as on this page! It also
adds some improvements, mostly in the text and some areas that
some people were experiencing some lag in as well.

If you are currently having a bug/glitch related problem with
the game in your playthrough, you can download this new version
and just plug in your old save!

Now to address some other things here!

@matski
The bugs you listed have all been fixed in the 2.0 version! I have taken some suggestions as well and implemented them too, thank you for that!

@canim
I have sent you a message in your inbox with the solutions regarding your problems :)

@rhb84
It looks like you are running an older version of the game. That problem was fixed a while back! The newest version is now available :) Sorry about that!

@Whacker
Wow, thank you for those kind strong words! That just really made my day! I want to thank you for playing the game all the way through, and helping me correct and fix things along the way. All of your effort is deeply appreciated. I will make sure to keep working on this to provide the best experience possible :D

@Frejo
After rescuing the Granny, there is nothing more there. You will not be able to find her grandson. The Nova Era book quest and the Card for the Cafe cannot be completed until later again when you're able to return back to Alfard! The warping underwater bug has now been fixed in the most recent version.

Adding a Quest Log, could definitely be possible eventually at some time. That would be a great little tool. However, as much as I'd love to be able to arrange the items in your Menu, in order to do so, I'd have to arrange them all in the database, and then go into the game and also switch every item you'll acquire which could prove to be a massive pain! I'll definitely keep clean databases in mind whenever I do decide to work on a new project though! That's a good practice.

How to get the flute? I just simply play the game without doing sidequest..
I'm really loving this game. It's very well designed,the sidequest are really imaginative in some cases and that adds some points to your game. The story is a bit cliche but the development and the dungeons are great, so no problem with that.

Great game Koopa!

@hazique94
You can find it within a cave in Westwood Creek. But in order to reach it, you need to recruit Marian to use those orange star marks, she is found dancing near the very beginning of the game, when you're heading to Westwood Creek. After you get the Flute, you're gonna have to learn the warping song. You can learn it from Witch Doctor Kali in Hijiro Mountain! Let me know if this works for you! :)

@Kermex
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words! :D I hope you are enjoying the game and what it has to offer. If you ever need any help with anything, let me know, I'll be more than happy to help!

It works!! Thanks
Started the game yesterday to see what all the hullaballoo was about. Feedback so far:

- Why not just have the save point do the heal and jump you to the save screen automatically instead of making a choice? The choice to save was already made by clicking on the save point and adding an autoheal if it's the healing one would make it a lot less janky, having to click through options to manually heal and save. It just takes up more time.

- There's a lot of waiting at times when moving from area to area or doing certain things. This is annoying as all hell and it's definitely deliberately done. The time it takes to slap some black bars and show a name for a new area is annoying and breaks the flow of the game. Running out of your room to wait a few seconds for you to be moved to the next area breaks the flow of the game. RM doesn't go that slow to load. Please remove the waits you've put in for whatever crazy reason you decided they were needed. This isn't a PSX game. It doesn't need to load shit.

- There's a fair few problems with the writing so far. Just very, very stilted sentences that don't flow well or make a bit less sense. I'd highly recommend getting a few English natives to double check your script for you so that the story is presented better.

- Not sure why you can run around under canopies in the forest. They're supposed to indicate that there's some thick tree shit happening underneath (think a very thick forest). It's a bit weird and I thought it was a passability bug initially.

- So far it's okay. Not sure if I like the battle sprites - I'd suggest a recolour to fit the brightness of the rest of the game. The washed out palette just sticks out like a baboon's butt. The writing is pretty stilted so far and there's just a bit too much decoration going on in some maps. The style changes between resources is very noticeable, too. I'm at the part where you meet blonde girl, but so far the game is pretty basic. It's not bad but not great either. Not yet. I'm hoping it'll get better the farther I go.

That said, it did inspire me with a game idea, so... Well, we'll just see how it goes.
I've been experiencing major lag issues once I get to the part in the story where I'm supposed to go to Westwood. I'm not sure if the issue is with the game or my computer, but once I cross the bridge and get to next map, the lag starts happening. I've defragged my computer and my display drivers are up to date. I've played the demo til the end and had zero issues. Can anyone suggest a solution?
Playing in windowed might help with that - F4 should change it for you. Also, not having other programs running at the same time.
@Liberty
Thank you for taking the time to try the game out!

- I reworked the Save Points a while ago and I thought it was fine the way it was. Granted, I would imagine it's a tendency to heal and then save. But believe it or not, some people don't exactly follow that all the time. I think it should be fine for the most part, if I got more complaints about it, then I can definitely fix some things around!

- Some wait times for things are a bit janky I suppose, granted this was a very early part of the game which dates back years ago. I guess I blame myself for not fixing or iterating every past piece of development lol. The wait times for dialogue is definitely intentional though, I've never been a fan of pressing enter and instantly displaying a wall of text. I tried to relate that to realism, as people actually processing the conversation and then adding to it. It's a weird design choice I know, and it might not be everyone's cup of tea I see.

- The writing is definitely something I can always take a look at. In time, I could end up sifting through the good and bad and overall making a more efficient flow!

- I understand what you mean about the canopies, hmm, well I thought it'd be fine. I understand it's a thick forest, trees, etc, but I mean, technically you would be able to maneuver between trees in a forest such as that, but it could prove confusing to the actual players I think!

- The battle sprites are definitely a design choice, I can see what you mean about the palette. Equally vibrant toned battlers would compliment rather nicely! I can definitely look into this, as this can always be worked and improved on!

Thanks for the feedback and the time taken for the comments, I'll definitely take some insight from it! If you do decide to continue with the game, I hope you do end up finding it an enjoyable experience :)

@mintychocolate

Liberty's advice should help with the lag you are having. No one else has reported any lag in those specific areas, so it might be a computer issue maybe? If not, I can definitely try my best to help you out!
Here again.
How do I talk to the second "frog" in the Water Sanctuary? Dive, I see some rocks but I don't know what to do.

In the room with the "tainted" purple water right? The four rocks on the floor need to pushed on top of the cracks that cover the floor. You'll know when you successfully covered one of the cracks by hearing a unique little sound! After you cover all four cracks, the water should be back to normal. Head back up to the surface to engage in the cutscene!
