There's a Wizard in you Harry

I know I submitted a complete let's try video for this game, but I think this game deserves one more review. The Wizard's Tower is a turned based RPG made with RPG Toolkit. This is the only game I have played using this engine, but I was impressed right off the bat. I think my biggest desire for this game was that it was a bit longer and more polished.

This game is divided into encounters and puzzles. The encounters are not random. Enemies are on the screen and battles don't enter into a separate encounter scene to play. Your player has two phases: An attack phase and a magic phase. Using magic will use one of your MP orbs and recovering MP requires the use of potions. So you can't juts go around bombarding the enemies with powerful skills. Luckily you have a skill that has a chance of scaring the enemy into having no turn. I found the combat simple, challenging, and fun.

Like any good dungeon crawl there are puzzles. I really like the last puzzle near the end where you needed to step on the floor tiles in the correct order to open the door. This reminded me of a puzzle I had played in the Legend of Zelda years back.

For more commentary and in case you have not watched these yet I have included my full play through videos of The Wizard's Tower. I think with what I have gone through in this game I'm comfortable giving it a 4 / 5.
