The project is designed to be a traditional rpg in the style of old final fantasy games. Mainly linear and story focused, but with free roam options opening up upon reaching towns. Thawn will be the consistent character the player controls, but throughout the game characters of certain abilities (mages, rogues) will drop in and out to increase the intensity and tactics of battles, as seen in the demo.

Another big focus of the game is boss battles, appearing twice in the demo, with the intention of being long and getting more challenging throughout the game. These are designed to create air punch moments when the player feels a sense of relief or accomplishment upon destroying the boss, resulting in memorable moments.

Small choices appear throughout the game, some simply designed for more player involvement, others which affect game play, for example giving a kid your sword in the demo will actually result in him helping you later combat. The intention is for the choices to have a grander affect on world as the story progresses, where the fate of a village may lay in the decisions made by the player. These will, however, still take all players to the same goal of reaching the fabled 'Horizon's End', said to be the final resting place of an ancient witch queen whose servants still search for to this day, and our hero may have stumbled upon the key in a poem found on a mysterious amulet...

Her reign shall never be restarted,
Let what was whole remain forever parted.
On the fate of man it shall depend,
The witches grave at Horizon's End.
