Ghost Suburb Zero is a RPG where you, as May, become thrown into a bizzare world and it's many inhabitants- such as, crazed gun-holding girls, bizzare cryptids from foriegn realms, persistantly blurred memories, daemonic brothels, strange bird viruses, and much more!
All to a electronically sampled soundtrack constructed for listening pleasures.

:NOTICE:
'EXPLORATION A'is a recording and bug-fixed version, fixed by Bleet! It is the original contest version essentially, with just some tweaks.
'EXPLORATION B'is a second recording deeper into the mysterious corridors in the future. It offers some minor changes, though gameplay is still the same.

Upcoming bug-fixes, content update.

Greets!
Basically I just wanted to take the time to say that the contest game is not the best version of this to play, and I'll be adding shortly a bug-fix, and content update. There are a few places where for the sake of entering the contest I pretty much just threw my hands up and just made things without testing it a bit, I felt bad about it but I wanted something of mine to get finished. I ended up having to make this in two days after I had some unexpected difficulties occurring after I started making my resources earlier in the month.

If there are some glaring bugs or something that just needs addressing- then by all means please let me know so that I can address it properly.
The core idea is in the game, but it just needs polishing.

Thank you ^ ^ I'll keep that in mind for the update too.
I just have to ask.. how do you make your sprites? :')
They look really unique, the thing is, I got the newest rpg maker in my school computers (I study game design) but I'm not that fond of the chubby sprites x'D they don't have that feeling I'm longing for.. So I just had to ask, is it hard to make them like this?

Well, I just do sprites how I knew them and then worked really hard to get the style down really. Nothing really special XD
Really? x'D Cuz I find them really beautiful x'D
Is it hard to make sprites that's not the standard size in rpg maker and still make them work? >.<'
First thing I did in the game, I crawled into a hole in the wall and died D: ...I'll try again later x'D

Don't generalize. If the game has a unique artstyle and it fits, what's wrong with that? Honestly VX Ace sprites are the worst out of all of them, a lot of detail isn't always necessarily a good thing.

i agree with this because it's so true~
Oh my god, just played through this a little and I love the graphics. Feels very natural like an old timey game with the new feelings of probably being scared or worse. Why does this game not have more love here. Seriously. I am pretty stuck in it, but I am able to fully enjoy it x333

3 variables ending. Blue Key and Gold Key useless?

sorry about the late response but, basically the red, blue, gold, and rusty keys go to several doors in the game-
as for the ending, exploration A has three technically. I'm uploading two versions of this game which explore the same territory but with some improvements and expansions.
Great game, there is little not to like in it. Terrific atmosphere as always and a beautifull world to explore. I can't understand why it's rated so low tough I admit I'd probablly have less patience with this game if the issue with May's speed wasn't solved. There are still some glitches but they're nothing harmfull.

If you're still looking for a beta tester for Exploration B or any future game, I'd be very glad to help.
