You wake up in a dark room covered in bandages.
Will you make it out safely?

Subject is a very simple and short text adventure game. Make your choices and decide where to go next and what to do to unlock a total of 8 different endings.

The game was made in less than two days for the Halloween Contest event for 2013, and as a very, very last minute entry, it's certainly not perfect or as polished and long as I'd have liked, but it was still a nice experience for me. I hope you enjoy the game.
And most imporantly, help to the wonderful Mareemo who agreed to my last minute request for the art \;o;/

Download is ready!

This is it! After a day and a half of focused, insane work (because i was taunted yesterday to enter the contest and i eventually took the bait) and dragging poor Marimo into the last minute game, the game is out!

I hope you enjoy Subject. It's a new sort of game for me, but I think it came out pretty well for the time we had. It's been fun to make, that's for sure.

Will post a simple guide to get all 8 endings tomorrow when I'm not so burnt out x_x

This looks like my kind of game, will put it at the top of the LT list.
This was nice to play, I have to say. Very clean and well thought-out.
I got really tense at the corridor mirror part. Got most of the endings myself, too!
Very cool, I just made a review of this game. Nominated for Best Setting (experimental facility FTW).
Just wanted to say, I played your game and really loved it! It gives such a cool and creepy atmosphere, and it's suspenseful without being too complex. I just love the feeling I got from playing your game and finding the endings, it was very creative and decently creepy, especially the mirror ending- I jumped in my chair!
Good God, this game scared me.

Good job, Indra! The minimalist art and text does a good job of conveying atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

I love this kind of games, with mystery and suspense. Enjoyed it all the way.
Hope to see more games likes this from you, you have talent.
Just played it, quite different from most of your other games but you still pulled off the mystery genre. Great game, I think I got 6-7 endings myself.

It was short and suspenseful, overall very nice.

this had better be part of a trilogy that also includes 'object' and 'predicate'

I have to begrudgingly admit that this looks really fascinating to me...even though Indra is mean. : (
this game is by far one of the best horror/exploration games i've played of this genre! the endings aren't too hard to obtain, i didn't have to worry about jumpscares (other than that one ending, haha, but nothing went "boo!" in your face is what i mean) because, honestly, i like being spooked and a feeling of suspense but this game is amazing for people who hate jumpscares like me!
this was a scary but unique experience and i loved getting all of the endings without having to think too hard but still needing to get creative...
(agh i have so much to say as i write this, this game is just so good)
Glad you enjoyed it! I'm aware the game is not for everyone, short and rather rushed, but I'm pretty proud of it considering all the problems it came with (no experience in the genre, two day time limit, not very good at horror XD)
I achieved end number 8 at the first try!
It is the best ending, right? I feel very proud!

I still have to play more to get the other endings. Good game!
