I really don't know how to feel about this

I played through this little game in quiet a quick time and I won't say that's a problem, we all start somewhere and I do not demand that every game has a running time of 3 hours or more.

To get the element of story out of the way first, I was kind of intrigued by the start of it all. The set up in itself is not a bad one but as soon as you step out of that cabin you're taking your first step into "this makes no sense" land. I felt how I was just ploughing through the story, trying to find it and then at the end I got slapped in the face with a wall of exposition.

I will also address, though keeping it spoiler free, that the subjects that gets thrown at you in the end are quiet serious ones and they're more handled like someone reading their lines from a script. This rubs me the wrong way as these themes are hard to handle when writing and throwing them in simply for the effect of "this is wrong and disturbing" makes it feel like they were treated really immaturely.

As for the maps they feel very very empty. The forest was sort of okay and neat but then when I stepped into the town I was frustrated by the fact that it was just a big empty space where I could interact with near to nothing. And the final map of the mansion was just aggravating. I could not dash and had to slowly plough my way through this big waste empty space in hope that there was something in there that could further the plot. Spoilers: there are not!

The music was kind of soft, I wouldn't say that is bad as I dislike when the music of a game is too loud or obnoxious and takes you out of the experience. But that's really all the game has going for it.

All I can say is that the start up point was not bad but the rest of the story was not very developed and the subjects were treated in a rather immature way. For the next project I would recommend to keep the maps smaller and concentrate more on the development of your characters and dividing the story. And perhaps to stay away from too serious subjects unless they'll be treated with the depth and respect they need.
