Latest Update: Version 1.5 (January 23, 2021)

One hundred years after the events of Blackmoon Prophecy, the world of Gaia has recovered from the conflict with Emperor Belmont, Malacore, and Zeul which saw a group of adventurers, today known as the Light Warriors, save the world from certain doom.

The rebuilt Lindblum Kingdom stands proudly as the world's fastest growing economical and military force. With the fierce backing of Esperkind behind the kingdom, it appeared that nothing would disrupt the immense prosperity that Lindblum was experiencing until Esperkind suddenly turned against Lindblum. The game follows the adventures of a young Augurer (specially trained anti-Esper monster summoner) named Zephyr Highwind who is forced to abandon his simple lifestyle of looking after Winter, a white chocobo which belonged to his deceased sister Ezra. With new friends aiding him, Zephyr seeks to put an end to the rising hostilities between Lindblum and the Espers, led by Ramuh, before the conflict engulfs the entire globe.


Blackmoon Prophecy II features twelve main characters, five optional characters, and two guest characters. Expected playtime should be in the range of 40+ hours.

  • Edited cave battle backgrounds slightly to prevent mild repetition.
  • Fixed a bug I created in the last patch that made Zephyr visible for the entirety of the intro.
  • Fixed a chest in Dawnmarch that incorrectly referenced what it contained.
  • Fixed a pathing issue in Koltz Forest.
  • Fixed a minor tile passability issue with a cave tileset.
  • Fixed an event in Alexandria that could be activated earlier than intended.
  • Fixed colour of grass in various locations.
  • Fixed issue regarding the fireplace in Crescent Village's inn not animated during cutscene with Zephyr.
  • Fixed issue that allowed Zephyr to be removed from party lead at a time he is supposed to remain in that position.
  • Fixed issue that caused Mohadmal Tomb hummingway to crash the game when trying to start a card game with him.
  • Fixed issue with Rudra not being fully visible on screen when he is flying to Auslen. Only his tail could be seen.
  • Fixed issue with Tetra Master card shop windows being excessively narrow by reverting to default shop menus.
  • Fixed some minor issues with pathing and treasure chests in the Overgrowth.
  • Fixed some typos present during the party's initial boat ride to Lenadia.
  • Gave Cid a unique weapon called Commander's Blade with high magic and vigor stats to give players a better sense of Cid being a strong leader.
  • Realigned Jossley's sprite.
  • Removed an attack from Doom Scarab's script that did not reference an actual ability or spell.
  • Removed railings from stairs in Tzen and automated walking up/down.
  • Replaced obsolete hidden items in Zephyr's home with new ones.
  • Resized "Mark Cleared!" image.

I like this game very much, but I cannot move forward due to Dragon's Navel bug.
When I touch the green orb third time I always get the frosen screen. I tried it
5 times with the same result. Please, help me

Looks like most of them are in Record Keeper, but there's definitely a few there that are new to me. Thanks for sharing that, I'll definitely give it a more in-depth look when I need more monster sprites!
Hello.
I need help.I have asked before but i really really wanna play this game so i ask again.
I have a strange problem ,sort of :one guard stands on a place,i do something,the screen turns black one second and then the guard should be away.
But he still stands there.
My original post around page 22 here,was:
Im in Altair,and gives the right password to the guard outside the tunnel.The guard says access granted.The screen turns black one second and the guard still stand there. How should i go in the tunnel?

I know you UPRC has done everything you can do,but maybe someone can help?

Did I not provide you with a save to try and bypass that? Though I remember that, for whatever reason, even physically removing the guard had no effect on your save. It sounded like there may have been a conflict between multiple copies of the game or something?

If you upload your save, I CAN put you through the door and save right on the other side of it. You won't need to go back into the tunnel from the Altair side again, so you'd be fine from there on out.

Well that's interesting, they even have Dissidia-sprite versions of some characters which opens up more possibilities. Also I see that Emerald Weapon I posted a long time ago. Think l'll do a comparison check, and see if is actually the same one.

EDIT:
Highly strange, the one I found, and the one they have are actually different. Wonder where that mystery Emerald weapon sprite came from?

I would really appreciate if you can help me with my strange problem.

Tried your save, and it doesn't even seem to be compatible with the last download of the game (which is what you were running). The save appears on the menu but, when I try to load it, the game simply locks up. I have no idea what is going on for you, and it's clear that it isn't even remotely a standard kind of issue. An NPC not moving despite me turning all required switches for you, and then the save not even working... I can't even fathom how to help you unless YOU can load the save and have VX Ace installed. If so, just load it up in the edtiro, hold control, and walk past the guard who won't disappear for you. And if that doesn't work? Honestly? I'd say either restart or wait for the game to be finished (aiming to complete it in January or February).
You are right,i´m gonna wait to the full game.
This problem i got is so strange so erase everything and just try the full game is the solution to this.

Has there been any updates on this bug? I encountered this bug too. I did find some other bugs in that area (able to take a different path than the star directed me and hearing a buzzer then going into battle before I touch the star)

I've removed that from the game entirely, the player can now just walk through it.

What happened to the download of this game I was halfway through then my computer crashed with the updating to windows 10 So whhen I went to re download it I cant find it

I downloaded the map but I am still running into same problem. Only difference is that in the map I downloaded, the star isn't there but for some unknown reason, star or not, right before I can touch the star, I hear a sound then get sucked into battle. after battle, the star appears. I can send you my save state.

Am I close being done with the demo?

Bumping predicted finish date up to March rather than January. With my predicted date only being a few months away, it should be indicative of where I am in the game. If I were to work steadily for even a full month, daily, I'd almost be done. So we'll see! Just need to keep the motivation up!
I can tell this game is going to be amazing.
