Latest Update: Version 1.5 (January 23, 2021)

One hundred years after the events of Blackmoon Prophecy, the world of Gaia has recovered from the conflict with Emperor Belmont, Malacore, and Zeul which saw a group of adventurers, today known as the Light Warriors, save the world from certain doom.

The rebuilt Lindblum Kingdom stands proudly as the world's fastest growing economical and military force. With the fierce backing of Esperkind behind the kingdom, it appeared that nothing would disrupt the immense prosperity that Lindblum was experiencing until Esperkind suddenly turned against Lindblum. The game follows the adventures of a young Augurer (specially trained anti-Esper monster summoner) named Zephyr Highwind who is forced to abandon his simple lifestyle of looking after Winter, a white chocobo which belonged to his deceased sister Ezra. With new friends aiding him, Zephyr seeks to put an end to the rising hostilities between Lindblum and the Espers, led by Ramuh, before the conflict engulfs the entire globe.

Blackmoon Prophecy II features twelve main characters, five optional characters, and two guest characters. Expected playtime should be in the range of 40+ hours.

Check out Blackmoon Prophecy across the internet for lots of progress updates and screenshots not shown on RMN (in order to prevent spamming the front page/everyone's notices).

@UPRC I can confirm that the scene with Wedge and Biggs arguing about the cards than the cards start showing up all over the city is indeed still in there.

I just got through the Sand King Tombs... so far the game is working fine and I haven't ran into anything except the Wedge/Biggs Card Quest.
Also, the world map works fine for me. No lagging and I have an older laptop.
I was anxiously waiting for this game!
Downloading it!
Best Christmas gift ever!
Thanks
To the people having problems with the world map lagging really bad, i ran into a problem similar to this with my old PC running flash/java applications, i know that's totally un-related but i remember distinctively the problem was unrelentingly annoying and even more annoying to fix, it had something to do with my power options / profile as i was running on a laptop. I hope somehow this helps, the issue is most likely to be client side and not a problem with the game as not everyone is experiencing that issue. It was weird too, only java/flash games would run like trash, i could play way heavier games without any problems at all. Good luck yall
if your character talks to Godot before you board the ship he reveals the timeless one's name.

This worked for me! The Lenovo Energy Management software was to blame. I switched it to high performance and the world map became smooth as butter. Even the battles are less laggy!

Now, I wonder if this fixed the problems I was having with my own game's lag that caused me to quit... Well, that's a problem for after I'm done playing through this game!

Exciting, but ultimately pointless.

Hopwfully that works for others!

I'm still not home (after all, it's Christmas), but I'll take a peek at Tesla and the card side quest shortly when I'm finished visiting family.

Enjoy your Christmas! You've clearly earned a good break. The game is great!

If it helps, I ran into the Tesla problem too. It's not the only ability I learned early. Bolt and Jasmine also learned abilities (Arctic Fist and Gil Toss, I think?) I learned them from speaking to a random NPC wearing a diving helmet in the arena. He's standing in the middle of the lobby and has no lines. I'm guessing it was a testing NPC you put in to test the abilities and forgot to delete?

Unrelatedly, Jasmine has been stuck in a diving helmet ever since she rejoined me after the Great Lindblum Reef scenario. Might want to look into that too at some point.

Oh. Shoot. I may need to give that a look when I get home. Sounds about right, I think that was the location I was originally testing them in.
So I've just met Carina, renamed her as well however it didn't take effect and was still Carina. I had a recent save so I replayed the scene to make sure I didn't make a mistake, and still her name doesn't change. Also, if you play Tetra Master, all Flan cards are free to buy.

EDIT: During the campfire scene in the cave right after meeting Carina, all the characters names constantly flip back and forth between their default and the names I've given them about 50/50.
I am experiencing problems with the world map too.
The character freezes, so i put the menu and him change his place, but i cant see him moving.
I am playing in a desktop!
Could someone help?
Anyone knows how to fix thie problem?
Thanks!

Aware of the name issues, I'll be skimming over that stuff tomorrow to correct it. Can't comment much on the world map issues, I can only advise people having issues with it to try MightyMonte88's possible solution and then report back with whether or not it worked. Fixed so far:

▪ A spider web in the Lycosidae Grotto incorrectly displayed as a table.
▪ Jasmine could appear with diving gear after the Lindblum Reef portion of the game.
▪ Flan Tetra Master card cost 0 gold. Correctly adjusted price to 10 gold.
▪ Removed a debug/test event from the arena that grants players miscellaneous abiltiies for level 30-50 characters.
▪ Removed a chest from Neirbrook that contained debug/test items. Only reachable in test play, but removing seemed like a good thing to remove regardless.
▪ Removed all of Biggs' trading cards, as they remnants of a removed side quest.

Keep them coming, guys. Hopefully I'll get a download up with all of these fixes in the next few days.
Thanks. The name thing is confusing me while playing. Haha

Yeah, I think that only occurred early on when I may have forgotten to write the code to display assigned character names. I probably just wrote the names out without realizing it.

I am 100% certain that this is only temporary though and only present early on in the game.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy II - Possible World Map Black Screen/Lag Fix: https://rpgmaker.net/games/5722/downloads/9600/

If you are experiencing issues on the world map, test this modified scripts file. According to Thomas Stout, who has been having issues with the world map, it worked for him. If you test this file out, let me know if it worked. Place it in your data folder. Backup your original scripts file if you wish to preserve battle backgrounds on the world map.
thanks
I first tried the cheat enginer speedhack with 0.8 and it worked.
Now i tried the possible world map file and it worked too.
The character is walking a little slowly in the world map and the music stays the same as the last cave/town visited.
But the game can be played now.

I just reuploaded it. The world map music will play. After some more testing, I had to delete all parallel process events from the world map and reset the music for the map. Just watched Thomas test it on Discord and it's working for him.

So only download it if you're having those issues. Otherwise, proceed as normal!
I only have this through that test NPC in the arena, but Edric's Rally ability restores 25 HP to the party instead of MP.

Thanks for pointing that out!
You can occasionally buy items in a pawn shop for significantly less than they sell.

Just now, I found Dew Drops for 32 each, and they can be sold for 100 each.
