Latest Update: Version 1.5 (January 23, 2021)

One hundred years after the events of Blackmoon Prophecy, the world of Gaia has recovered from the conflict with Emperor Belmont, Malacore, and Zeul which saw a group of adventurers, today known as the Light Warriors, save the world from certain doom.

The rebuilt Lindblum Kingdom stands proudly as the world's fastest growing economical and military force. With the fierce backing of Esperkind behind the kingdom, it appeared that nothing would disrupt the immense prosperity that Lindblum was experiencing until Esperkind suddenly turned against Lindblum. The game follows the adventures of a young Augurer (specially trained anti-Esper monster summoner) named Zephyr Highwind who is forced to abandon his simple lifestyle of looking after Winter, a white chocobo which belonged to his deceased sister Ezra. With new friends aiding him, Zephyr seeks to put an end to the rising hostilities between Lindblum and the Espers, led by Ramuh, before the conflict engulfs the entire globe.

Blackmoon Prophecy II features twelve main characters, five optional characters, and two guest characters. Expected playtime should be in the range of 40+ hours.

Check out Blackmoon Prophecy across the internet for lots of progress updates and screenshots not shown on RMN (in order to prevent spamming the front page/everyone's notices).

Do you remember where this occurred in the city? I looked around for the NPC, but couldn't find them anywhere.

Found 'em.
What am I supposed to do after beating Carbuncle? I spoke to Grandmaster Motot and he said to tell the Emperor. Janus said nothing of importance and I have no way of leaving Zen/Mysidia...

Thanks, I checked it out. Says I have to go to Alexandria. My problem is I can't get there. I can go between Mysidia and Zen but have no way of getting to any other island.

Haha, it happens. I would've mentioned that had I seen these replies a little sooner.
okay i'm now at just before the final dungeon I think, so i'm going around finshing up sidequests, I went to berona city to recruit Loxley and Twill and I find them and they say they'll join me but then nothing happens, the dialogue just ends, they don't join my party and when I try talking to them nothing happens, and when i walk over the square where they talked to me again the dialogue repeats, i'd like to get all the characters but for some reason they won't join my party.

I made it to the final boss, I thought I might actually win to start with, he had some nasty skills but was able to come back from all of them. then he cast ultima which wiped me out from one hit even though all my characters were full health, I guesss level 50 isn't enough to take this guy on.

I'd probably recommend being a tad higher maybe. There's also the equipment and accessories that boost HP, sometimes by a lot in some cases (ie. Aegie Belt), so those can help you out when you're in a bind as well.
I managed to beat him around level 51 with the right gear and a little luck. that ending, let's just say that wasn't the way I expected the game to end.

I think this might be the first game i've played where the heroes actually fail to save the world. the ending does leave the door open for a sequel though I guess you want to move onto other stuff.

All in all it was a pretty good game, one of the better rpg maker games released in recent years, certainly one of the best free ones. I look forward to your next game shattered wings.

What's up with the empty posts?
This game was top-notch in every way and I'd recommend it to everyone. I loved the comic relief provided by Cid and thought it was very well-written. It is so rare to see a fan game reach such a high level of professionalism. I will probably play through it a few more times, but there were a few things that confused me:
  • I couldn't figure out what Rocko, the NPC who joins your HQ does. He just seems to stand around and always say the same thing.

  • There were several doors to houses in various towns that were blocked by NPCs and I wasn't sure if I was missing some way to get inside.

  • There were so many crafting-related reagents but there seemed to be very few opportunities to actually craft anything. This was quite a contrast to BP1.

  • The Hummingway in the sarcophagus in the Mohadmal Tomb crashed the game when I tried to play cards against him. Aside from the card tournament, was there any purpose to collecting all the cards? It was a fun diversion, either way.

  • The worldmap.png file that comes with the download shows Lukahn's Workshop in the southwest corner, but I was never able to find such a place. I was hoping this would be the answer to all my crafting woes.

  • There were so many chocobo forests, but it seemed like there was no need to have more than one.

  • Winter is the best character in RPG history and yet I haven't seen any announcement for a spin-off franchise based around him, nor have I seen any Winter merchandise for sale. :)

May be typos, I'm on my phone.

Rocko is just an NPC that allows you to get additional money from the mailbox rewards I believe. There is a modifier in place where your reward is greater if you have more recruits.

The hummingway that crashes the game was reported before. I need to take a long look at it to aee why, since I couldn't figure out a cause before.

There are chocobo forests all over the place so that olayers have ample opportunity to get the chocobo summon at any point in the game.

As for Winter... I think that you mean SHE. ;)
help, cannot get Loxley and Twill to join me . Alone, i see merklin, he takes the tablets and nothing happens, I can use the menu but he doesnt talk to me. if i try to leave the rooms the scene starts again. i love the game an want to advance, Txs
