There's like way too many scenarios...So are they going to meet up in some point?

Exciting, but ultimately pointless.

It's the same as in FF6, the party splits up into three groups. It's done in this game because the party wants to cover as much ground as they can to address THREE serious issues immediately (hence three groups). In the end, they're all going to converge on the same location.
I allways like the splitting up, because you get to use all the characters and not just the samme four over and over, because you find a way to break the game with them(which is what I usually do)

Oh, that'll happen in this game regardless. I've already found some neat ways to make characters really viable.

Adding scenarios also helps make a part of a game less linear and more immersive. The player will get to tackle most of the Berona Republic's content in whatever order they want.
i always liked this senario system in FF6 so in seeing this system in this game is pretty good.
I actually like it when something like this is done, it allows the players to experiment with all party members, and the developer to mess with ya with challenges. ;)
