LLR VX Blog #22 500+ Downloads + Update

First off, let's have some funky tunes to listen to while updating.

Some of the music shown on this video was used in Lost Land Ruin VX. I absolutely love their music. It's freeware music, give em' a listen to. :D

Anyway, woo! 500+ Download milestone for this game. Joy cookies and wotnot. So, I figured I'd release a update to the game that fixes a couple of things.

-Fixed a tiny glitch at the Ancient Library during the True Ending path where you wouldn't encounter any enemies after finishing the boss.
-Finally replaced one theme that was on the last version that was still commercial, I forgot to change that theme, now it has been changed.
-A few sound errors here and there.
-A few grammatical mistakes reworded as well.

Not a whole lot fixed mind you, but hey. Every small bit counts. Thanks for playin' everyone, though I do have some slight interesting news about the sequel.

The game is slowly in development. With having to juggle this and P6. My hands are tied with this one. Priorities n' all that. But I do try to get to this game when I can. Not a whole lot made. But I can at least show you the new designs of some characters.

There's more I made, but I'll just leave it at that for now. Maybe I should hire an professional artist to do the artwork for LLR2 like I have for P6. Just many possibilities.

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the slight update.

i download last version of game and got this message when battle engaged

I hate to be the bearer of bad news on this, but unfortunately, it requires you to start over from the beginning. It's a victor script thing, whenever a major update to the game was made like that, it would cause that error, so existing save files from an older version of the game and you tried to play it on a newer game would cause that error.

Sorry about that, it's just how the that particular script works, I wish there was a workaround on that, because I went through that error whenever I put in different scripts in.

Sad to say, but you're stuck starting over. T_T;
start over whoa "cries" I guess I will have to start over. One question though does game contain an rtp in it?
I believe it does, yes. But I also believe I copied the RTP into the game as well.
I downloaded new version, played till the moment Nei explain how Crafting works, after that small window pop up and it said Now u can use Crafting option in ur menu. I went to menu but crafting Option doesn't appeared at all. Help me pls.
Oh shit! A piece of dialog I forgot to remove. Actually you can access the dialog when you're at a save point and when you're at an Inn. You can also go to Craft shit when someone offers if they want to help you with crafting. So yeah, I'll go fix that. My bad.

Not gonna happen.

...Maybe...
Epic RPG. Post apocalyptic modern setting that is heavily inspired by Final fantasy games and chrono trigger (and others, probably). You can easily notice the resemblance in some dungeons and plot events. Even the enemy designs are mostly based on FF6 (but doesnt actually use FF6's sprites). Game in general plays pretty well, there is a crafting system that you can really make use of, and nobody has cure magic so everything becomes more strategic. However, there are also some big minuses to this game.

The game is very sloppy. Leftover events that weren't removed properly happen a few times. My first Game Over happened when I talked to some NPC because during cutscenes, the game temporarily removes your other party members so they all stand in a formation. At the time the party leader was dead, so that cutscene caused a game over when the other alive party member was removed. Heals from inns/save points dont work properly on one specific party member. And now, I'm very far in the game (100+ saves in) and I'm stuck at mason's base because the password I got was incorrect, misleading. Well I'll finish this game soon hopefully.
I'm glad you're enjoying the game (for the most part.) If you could be able to point where you saw those leftover events and when they occurred, it would help me a lot so I can go and get them fixed.

Also, I'll fix up that little problem with the hero dead thing, so something like that doesn't happen again.

Also! The password is what it is. BUT! Did you remember to add the "!" at the end? :P It sorta tricks you like that, haha.

As for the Inns not working on a specific party member, which party member is it? So I can also look into it.

Thanks for your feedback! ^_^

I can answer that one, it's the Robot(I forget his name), after you get his first upgrade, when you heal at inns, it sets his current HP to 100.

I remember mentioning it before during my original test run.
Hmm... gonna have to do another run of this game so I can see if I can make a fix for that. RM-305's stat builds have been a problem, let's see if I can rectify this.
I finished it. That final boss took me a few tries because my strats werent doing too well against it. I'll elaborate after I answer your inquiries.

- One arc soldier at the bottom right corner in the harbor base after you take over that base
- Cacey at the end of the desert cave with 4 scorpions on the top right corner (no cutscene occurs here)
- Heal points restore robo to some kind base HP, not the bonuses he get from whatever he equips (i think)
- Anytime you enter the final room of the Arc facility 4 late in the game (long after you already beat that area), your party goes invisible
- Game crashes if you try to beat Level 5 of the Coliseum. I was farming mid potions at level 3 but was hoping to get better stuff. Also does level 4 give the same rewards as level 3? Then whats the point?

More on the final moments of the game
My strategy involved giving Robo two heavy machine guns and letting him spray enemies into submission. Against single bosses, I can do about 1000+ per turn and they die pretty fast. Everyone else heals and/or do debuffs.

This strategy didn't work well on the final boss, primarily because she had minions. What this does is distract the machine guns from targeting her and doing the full 1000 damage, and this occurs even after the minions are dead. All the machine guns and machine gun-like skills suffer from this effect. Basically, the sprays target every enemy, including dead ones, resulting in wasted shots.

I finally beat the final boss by switching out the terminator and putting in Terra from FF6. Her shield and solid magic damage were very useful, but the boss spammed sleep/freeze so she didnt do too much during the fight. Good enough though. Only other boss that gave me trouble were the rats. They can kill everyone pretty fast with heavy damage but I eventually got a few lucky ice bomb crits.

Well, congrats on beating the game and earning one of the three possible endings to the game. The true ending of the game still eludes you though. If you have the energy to go another round and earn the true ending, then give er' hell! :D

Also, I'm laughing my head off at the fact you refer to RM-305 as the terminator, haha. Yeah, given the right setup, RM-305 could be a very destructive unit to abuse.

And thanks for pointing out those glitches, I'll go and check those out right away! Your feedback will be most helpful! ^_^ Thanks much for playin'. :D

Also, were you able to find any of the Epitome monsters? They're toughies. An easy one to find is in the destroyed rebel base. Though, if you have an extra save file before you entered Station 001, you should still be able to get to the boss.

I'm assuming thats the daemon with the crystal there. I got wiped by him when I went to check him out the first time. When I got back it was after I cleared the arc gate, and the crystal was already gone.
