Hello,
ok so after reading about a new engine I tried this one.
My first impressions: Save, only with save points and the world map is so
out of date, reminds me of my first RPG's on NES with long passwords.
Graphics, ok not very good looking. Nearly unforgivable, you sometimes can't
see the exit...I mean look at that market place. I was sure that going left would
set me on the world map.
But my biggest complaint is the mix with keys. I mean I found the grapple claws.
I was sure that I could climb with them.....but nothing happend. At that time I
was playing with controller. It took me 2 hours and reading through the posts here to realise that I must use the shift key.....
It would be real real nice to explain that at the start of playing or if you
found a certain item.
At this time I am not sure I want to continue playing...and reading about some
action sequences....urrgh, RPGMaker is nice but not fit for any action playing.
Better quit now than wasting more time with this.
Anyway, good luck with further projects.
Hello and thanks for your feedbak!

I'm Aware of the key system feature, it was sowrst at that time, and always I mentioned in the MeD Tutorial how to use it.

If you are using a controller, i do not recomend to use a controller, in my case, i cannot use them, it always keeps going up, so i use the keyboard

Hope u can play it again, when i release the new version, with ne features as CMS, CBS and the puzles engines upgraded too, so im going to change the "sheft+enter" formula :)

Thanks!!

Hello!

Thats strange!

Did you removed the RPG_RT.EXE from LoH and replaced it with a RPG_RT.EXE from another RM2K o RM2K3 game?

Because LoH its made in RM2k, and if you put and RPG_RT.EXE from a RM2K3 game, it will not work from the Battle system

If you opened with RM2K3 editor, the game will not work, because de Data base will be replaced for RM2K3, if you want to opne it with the editor, use RM2K only, and neve replace the RPG_RT.EXE original from LoH, it has some patchs, like "open load menu"
SOSQEI...... .... What's this? Is there such an old-school engine development? I want to use this type also.

Hi there
I'm having problem with opening the door in Mountain Manto. I've already found the fireball on the left corner of the map, and now I just don't know what to do with it nor do I know if I can open the door with it? Feeling like I've been stuck here forever... a little help maybe? Thanks!

Hello!

After defeating the Ice guardian, he will drop a key into the floor, maybe, you killed him when he was on a tree, and the key could be hiden in the tree, covering the key, just walk on all under the trees, and see if you can catch the key.

Hi there again,
Is the flashing guy in Mountain Manto the Ice Guardian that you mentioned? Any tips to beat him? It seems like I can't even harm him one bit with the fireball...
Greetings!

Sorry to say, but I didn't like the game. I like the story, the heroes, combats, puzzles and interacting with objects, and even the retro graphics. But the game is very unfriendly to the player. It forces him into some events too often and gives him not enough freedom.

Let me explain my opinion step by step, beginning with searching king Tron on Mt. Firgo. Solved the puzzles, got the key. Opened the door with the key, went left, defeating bats on the way. Noticed the closed door with the golden chest behind, went left. Grabbed the right ropes (or how to name them) two times (it took some time because I noticed not immediately that I have to orientate myself properly), jumped form the right cliff, returned, grabbed the left ropes, went to the next cave. Everything is OK. Then I saw the button and the soldiers who told me that the king is on the left. So, I hade a choice: to push the button now or not. I didn't, went to the left and saved at the savepoint. Then approached to the king and we won the battle. Here goes my first criticism. The game IMMEDIATELY began the next scene in the throne room and IMMEDIATELY forced me to make a choice of the next party. I chose general Katana. Note that at this time, I don't know whether I'll be able to return to Mt. Firgo for the chest. (Later I knew this when chose another party).

Then the things became worse. The game IMMEDIATELY moved me to the ship, fully healed, but without an opportunity to buy supplies, to buy some things on the market, to learn skills and to save. (I prefered to keep, not to spend, some money before this episode because I did not need improvements against weak enemies.) Got two new members of the party. Got all the chests. There were two savepoints on the ships. Good. Note that two of the three heroes have no magic, and one has buffs and debuffs. No healing magic. Found the lost ship. On the way the fishes wound me several times with unavoidable "wet". Then the battle with Brownbeard (without or almost without wounds due to debuffs). Then the hall with you, the creator (only to talk), and with all doors closed except one with two enemies. No supplies, no healing magic, no savepoint, no choice. Three times I won the battle with one dead character (several blizzard hits are unavoidable), and the game IMMEDIATELY forced me into another battle. Fully healed but not revived. Then I stopped playing. I know that I can play better and win (if I'm lucky with fishes), but at this step I don't want to replay this episode once more.

How, in my opinion, two these episodes and gameplay in the whole should be done friendly to the player?

1. NEVER begin the next episode immediately after the previous one was finished (the exception may be done if you want the player to win several battles in a row). Allow the player to take some actions between episodes.
1.1. After the battle on Mt. Firgo, it would be a good idea to allow the player to return and to visit the king by feet or by teleport. In this case, the player can do all the actions on Mt. Firgo not done before.
1.2. After talking to the king and choice of the party, it would be a good idea to give the player some free time. Maybe, with the help of a dialog. (Are you ready? Yes/No).
2. ALWAYS give an opportunity to save before crucial battles or any other events that change the situation significantly.
3. ALWAYS keep the world open. Let the player return and check every detail of the game. (In the example above, I don't know whether I'll be able to return and pick up all the chests on the sank ships after winning the battles, if not done before.) NEVER punish the player for, e.g., going to the left or to the right, by closing some areas later.

In any case, thank you for the game.
