History is an endless road,
stretching forever into a distance that is beyond our vision or imagination.

Not only is it endless, but it is winding.
It affords no short-cuts,
no highways to enable one to reach their destination safely and quickly.

As the road winds on, it pulls us along with it.
None of us can stand still.
Whether we wish so or not, we are dragged along.

But where does it all lead?
What purpose is there in it?
Should we be content to let this road take us where it will?

The Endless Road is a story-based RPG about the place where the past and the future intersect, about the choices that take us there, and about the possibility, no matter how painful or difficult, of change.

Watch this space for more developments. =)

As Easter approaches....

...it's time to breathe some new life into this project!

To start with, I've successfully managed to draft my friend RomanoAmerio (who is also working on "The Castle of the Blue Moon" with me) into helping me improve this project! The two of us have been hacking away at the script with a red pencil of doom, and the effects have been overwhelmingly positive.

Also, I've actually managed to get just a wee bit better at mapping. Practice makes perfect, and all that.

We also decided the whole thing was too unwieldy to cram into a single file, so we've split it into 6 episodes of around 3-5 hours' duration each. Leveling up is pretty much static for each episode, so each of them will be a self-contained unit.

Finally, we've managed to get rid of the whole "this sounds too much like a newspaper headline" factor that was plaguing the earlier version of this game.

Now, it's time for us to deliver the goods!

Thanks! I'm trying to portray the level where the personal and political interact. Right
now, I've completed the first major set of quests and have reached a turning point. I'm not coming down in favour of any particular ideology - in fact, I leave it to the player to decide which "path" he or she wants to follow! =)

I should have something playable out by March, barring anything major.
I guess something major came up. Also, where did you get those vaguely-rectangular crystals?

My apologies. Something pretty major did come up - and then another thing, and then another. Sometimes, quoth the bard, life don't leave you alone. The good news is that I'm (more or less) over the curve now, and should have something up in the next 2 weeks. Honest. =)

Also: the large crystals are default RPG Maker XP graphics... ^_^

I looked at this game a while back, it seems promising! I really hope you complete it soon! Being a student of political science, I love things like this <3
I'm not much of a fan of battles in games, but it might be okay
