Nearing The End


Behold, the end of all things.


Can you believe it's been 14 years (as of June) since I started working on this game? Would you believe me if I said that the finish line is within sight? Optional content aside, the only thing left to do is the final dungeon and its scenes and battles. The design document is rapidly becoming smaller and smaller and the time has come to strongly consider how to move forward monetarily, advertisement and establishing an online store page.

It's been a journey and I don't know what comes next. Where I stand now is both exciting and scary... but it's time. My projection for a completion date of all things is seated comfortably in the Summer of 2019. If you were looking forward to it, now is the time to prepare yourself.

Holy shit - have you been really working on this for fourteen years!? Damn, son... And here I thought Xenomic with his Touhou Fantasy game was the longest worked on 2k3 project around here - but I guess not!

I must give you tremendous credit for managing to stick with this project all the way throughout the years, as it takes a special type of patience to see something like this completely through. I’m sure there were a lot of moments that you doubted not just if this game was ever going to see the light of day, but also the game itself, as judging by the lack of comments on its game page and general interest in it. Here’s hoping that with its release that it does find some success and manages to find a name for itself in the RPG Making community. Because I’ve seen some your RTP maps before in the screenshot topic and on Discord, and, I must say, I like what I see! If the rest of the game can hold up, this might be potentially a hidden gem...

Either way, congrats on almost reaching the finish line! Hopefully all that hard work will pay off in the end and you'll be showered with Misaos...(or, in this case, lots of money, heh, heh).

I believe in this project, but I need to let it stand on its own. Interest, comments and otherwise, it is what it is. It's final success isn't in the number of people who buy and play it but if it's a good game.

Also: 14 years? That, ladies and gentlemen, is dedication and a moral lesson for the Age of ADD. =)

My, oh my. Just was looking around for my name to see what was mentioned, and saw this mentioned. 14 years? That's something I never expected to see. Congrats on almost finishing it completely! I wish for it to be up to your own standards. ^^
