The setting behind Titan City is heavily influenced by the paper and pencil game of Cyberpunk 2020 Role playing game, Deus Ex, and some influences from Shadowrun. It takes place in a near future setting when corporations have gained control of nearly every infrastructure of government and daily life. Fewer regulations in human rights and the ever expanding advancement of future technology has resulted in a hybrid of man and machine. Grafting of metal to man in numerous ways has become common place and fashionable. Corporate greed and espionage is out of control and gangs run rampant in the streets.

Titan City will be about character development. Any character you play will essentially be an open class with the only exception being the special ability each character starts with. Currently there are over 50 skills to pick and develop as you play the game. All can be learned and maxed out as the player chooses via training. Training requires money and improvement points that are collected by killing enemies, questing and a few other ways that are still in development. Players will further develop their characters with cybernetic augmentation choices such as arms, legs, torso, head, and eyes. Of these choices, each augmentation will also allow a certain number of enhancements available to further develop their play style.

Finally an update...

As the title states. It's my first update in quite some time and as such I don't have a descriptive log of events to run down all the changes. However...
-The most notable change to this update will be the addition of lighting effects which I hope brings a new depth to all areas.
-There are a few new maps added to the random hacking list bringing the total to 25. -On the downside of things my attempt at creating side quests revolving around hiring a party of mercenaries has hit a wall. As a result there hasn't been much progress in that area and if there's going to be I'm afraid it will have to be a fraction of what I had hoped for. Despite the fact it may not be fully realized, I believe it can still be a part of the game. If you get far enough into the main plot you may come across this section and will undoubtedly see that it has very little content.

near one day of testing. Extremely surprise your game was not very downloaded and commanted. It's an enthousiasmic projet and I'm happy to discoverd something like that.
Fist impressions before play; very ambitious, science fiction theme, made by a table rpg player. All to be interesting and different of the classic japanese-style-fantasy-stuff.
I'm a huge fan of the creator of "cyburpunk 2020" (Mike Pondsmith), solid background for sure; now playing!
The debut was just pure pleasure; 14 caracters possible to beging when the game was finish, all the archetypes of cyberpunk...and th first was a hacker !!!
You're not chose ease, it's can a big deception because we have to play in the cyberspace/matrix in rpg maker. Result; incredible surprise, that's it !
Solid introduction and intelligent tutorial.
Amazed by the diversity of the options; skills (social options, weapons, cyber prosthesis) an well think adaptation of the game manual.
You are on the good way. If you maintain the interactions (in dials, missions/quests) lot of work to made something like fallout... but you can do a real great game/must.
Sometimes it's stange to have japanese design...but with imagination, not a problem.
A little surprise to not have continuation of the main/first story; possibility to go in the caracter flat quickly, can re-contact is mentor.
Meabe later...meabe in know more if i chose to explore the city when i can use the cab(no linearity) ?
Then...I go to the slums for a mission. Not bad, but not dark I can wait... Side stories with hocker, homeless, dials with freaks can be good.
In do some others missions... An more time pass, more I find bugs.
In the adandonned warehouse with two teachers (Teatching for free, your sure?) , when speaking whin the one on the left; impossible to quit the dial with escape, obligation to reset.
When I hack some computer in jocker gang base and I quit...I was in Maebel house after.
And last problem, the worse, the big problem, in the prison mission; after hack the cpu in the room, in want to return in the city and...black screen !
Impossible to continue. Hope you have/find a solution.
Because, in conclusion, the project catch me, it's one of the best in play in RPG maker(my taste). Hope see more and you arrive to the end with that general quality, suscribe on this site just for know updates...for Titan city in particular; it's say all, I think. Players; download, encourage and test; it's worth little troubles!

Post update! Finish the demo!
A chance i have others saves for solve my "prison problem".
Just have to continue the level and advance the main quest!
Others bugs..? Nothing big.
In the neutral zone other teatcher on the hammer base like in the slums warehouse is useless.
The job for the dealer in the doc get before go to the slums dont work in return(collect leather from the jockers gang members).

Last conclusion;
a really great projet.
Univers, figth system, music...very good choises.
Ad for the first part.

Now some regrets; I prefer the first part. The reason was a less impression of liberty after the slums. No side quests, secrets (zones, caracters etc...).
The story, in fist view, become realy linear.


Some stranges plot elements...wanted by all the dealers of the city...hidden in the neutral zone....for doing mission(!)...and it's possible because...I juste change my name ?
Maybe important to solve main story difficulties before doing another upload.
Curious to know where the differents elements of the plot goes in the futur; lot of different directions.
Not sure the timer for the hoter room was a good idea....I m sure I m not only to prefer the classic method (pay for sleep and regain lifes) to this one.
Story was always pleasure...gestion(dont speak about difficulty) was a kind of painfull oposite sometimes.
The fights in the network becomes to easy infortunally, in the second part.
Maybe in general have some automatic/random reflections of or caracter/enemis can be good. The beeding hit was to powerfull for a debut in may opinion (but, maybe, save my life lot of times).

Thank you for trying the demo that I had available. I have been working diligently to polish game play and bugs as I go and I can assure you that many of the things that you mentioned have been addressed in some way or another. The demo in its current state does not show the real progression of events once you are in Neutral Territoy and I fully understand your frustration there. While I have yet to release a new patch to the game, there are a substantial number of new elements that are going to be available including a reputation system, side quests, working trainers in Neutral Territory and so on. I will create a proper update log when I unleash the update.

Long story short here is that I am going to try and provide a new update with a little more content. Progress is slow, but I am trying to build the core infrastructure, mechanics, enemies, skills, etc. so that I can concentrate on story progression.

Thank you very much for your input. I contribute a large portion to the progress to this project to the people who have taken the time to play and respond with constructive criticism. It truly is a wonderful community of people that I am grateful for.

Hope future updates meet your expectations.

First off great game been enjoying it. I like the customization with all the skills and its been fun. Questioning the the gun shop guy was funny just seeing that option..which i picked lol.

On my stroll through titan city net in hand I caught these bugs
*sets down the jar*
- in character creation if you spend 2 skill points in biology becoming lv 3 you do not learn nanosurheons even if you go up to skill lv 3 in both botany and chemistry you still never get to learn it even though its says you do botany lv 3

- I used electronic secrurity to loot rooms in the safe house and stuck in one said i needed a card for it when i was trying to exit, this may be more of my fault for doing this prior to selecting a room, but someone else could make the same mistake. this was in the second floor top left room 202 this happened.

- Ok i rented 202 have a 10,000+ credits in my account went to sleep and it told me my card has been deactivated for not having funds and i can't leave the room O_O

-entering a run on the second floor in the safe house and exiting it, it still plays the web's BGM thought i should point it out

- tried to pick pocket a spiker on the far left then there was a red ! mark then it froze, this was in the neutral

- I trained up to lv.5 as it says is needed in investments to train stocks ..but with 5 in investment and 1 in stocks my cred chip says i'm earning 0% interest....I assumed the intrest was to be earned on your bank account or am i wrong?

I post any more as i find them, when I play again later I'll try the other rooms see if the same happens.
Thank you Dante for the bug report. I'll get to work on them right away.

-Getting the rent for the room to work properly has been a challenge. I just need to plug some more time into it. With all the other mechanics that I've been trying to include as I go I'm not surprise that I overlooked something on this area. However, you should always be able to leave a room regardless of the rent.

-I'll double check the doors in the Safe House. You should never have been stuck inside a room. Should be an easy fix.

-I haven't completed the interest rate for bank accounts yet. I apologize for not mentioning this in my update log. I've kept a list of the things I've completed, but overlooked making a list of things that are not completed. Please be patient and I'll get that added as soon as I can.

-The music bug will be an easy fix. Thank you for that.

-I'll recheck the botany, biology, and chemistry skills. I'm pretty sure I know what went wrong there and should be a simple fix. On that note, the biology skills that are acquired haven't been fully fleshed out. Another error on my part for not giving enough information.

-Will have to investigate the pick pocket incident. Makes me wonder if a file is missing. I'll have to get back on this one.

Again, thank you very very much for the bug reports. I hate them, but keep them coming anyway.

-I found the error you were referring to with the biology, chemistry, and botany skills. Biology is the only skill that will train new abilities. The message you were receiving from training botany to level 3 was an error on my part. In future updates you should no longer be told you learned nanosurgeons from training in Botany.
-I couldn't find a reason why you would not receive the nanosurgeon skill from training in biology. I need time to play test to see if i can get the same error.

-Found that I had not updated the script for sleeping in room 202. Did some patch work to try to fix the problem. Will need some play testing. Room 307 and 404 should be in better working order for now.

-Just making some guess work with the error you got from pickpocketing. I made a few minor changes to see if the ! error will stop. Need to playtest. Also fixed a spelling error.

Also, I don't know how to post a patch that will fix any current issues a player may have if they have delved into the investment and stock market skills which will mean that when an update is posted you will have to start from the beginning to see how awesome it is to earn interest on your bank account. (Sorry Dante!)

- The issue with nanosurgeons is actually during character creation, aka i pay two skill points before starting to begin with lv3 Biology and then i never get the skill no matter how much i leveled up any of those 3 skills, so my problem was i tried to start the game with it.

I've gone over the skill creation system and play tested successfully. This will no longer be an issue in the next patch.

That's great to hear Dante. Thank you very much for playing the demo and bug reporting. I'm a bit curious on how long it took you to get through the demo (what was your time played on your character?). Also, there should be a bit more content after the message regarding the end of the demo. Feel free to give it a try. It's likely to be a bit buggy and at some point there are quests that will just stop working without warning, but I'd like some feedback since it's the first time I've made it available to the public.

Thank you again for your time. I'll keep plugging away and get a patch in here in the next few days.

06:47:31 is my game time although in general my time in general would be higher than most players since i tend to explore more(loot everything) and tend to level higher than needed doing extra random battles and repeating Cyrax's earlier missions defeat spikers/collect spikes/collect scraps/hack the second computer in ma textiles.

I took pickpocket from the start as well so i took more time looting that way, used both pickpocet and cybermodem to loot even random enemies wallets and bank accounts and even took a walk back through all of the slums after getting lowlight and infared in my cyber eyes found items there, found the items in spiker turf too and the assassin looking guy when i used the infared. Trained lockpicking and and Electronic security up to level 5 and looted everything possible in the safe house.
Persuasion worked well with Police in getting extra rewards, I also let salvo go, but lied to the police about, not sure how that effects the story.

I'll try the extra content later, after i got the message i picked continue but saved after. So i have a save at the point. Now i just reaffirmed something so the is a bug with codebreaker 2.0
- it has its menu icon instead of a chip
- i selected it in the inventroy and it just disapears does not go to selection where you select Johnny to learn the skill either, i'm glad i keep back up saves that was 3500 credits down the hole.

Something i forgot, in the patch before the one on the 28th cpu cores always gave 100exp and 1 ip, now most give 50 exp and i've often gotton no ip and i don't think my hd was full either since i went for the core before getting random files.

- could there be a way to re-equip/change your weapon during battle, otherwise i tend to stick to one weapon and brawling or kung fu currently.

-I found the bug with Codebreaker 2.0. While you weren't seeing it in the correct skill tree (Interface) it would still work properly in a blitz (in other words you can still take down 2 codegates even though you couldn't see the skill). I moved this skill to appear in the Interface skill tree.

-That's a good idea about weapon swapping. I'm rather positive I could pull it off. Maybe I'll dig around and see if there is a script available for that particular action to save me some work.

-I did alter the amount of experience received from taking down AI and reduced the chance to receive IP. This was a balancing act I felt was necessary to keep IP a rare enough resource and to slow leveling down a tad especially since cpu cores are an easy target in early stages of the game.

-6:47:31 is a decent amount of time and it sounds like you were accomplishing quite a bit. I'll keep this in mind for play balancing as I continue to add more content.

-I found the error with codebreaker 2.0. The item was not set up properly to let you select a player to teach the skill to. I got it fixed and will be part of the upcoming patch.

-Pick Pocket IS a reflex skill. I changed that a long time ago, but never moved it from the Tech Stat during character creation. That's just me being lazy, but it is also miss informative to players. I'll get that cleaned up. The Reflex list is just going to be really long. Actually... that reminds me that I did find a script that can increase the number of choices a player can have on screen at one time. I'll have to dig for that.

-I found the missing script that should have been showing the door code in the quest journal and fixed it. Good find... that particular script was really really really long.

-I didn't take time to flesh out the quest journal for the identity change mission, and now I'm regretting it. That particular part of the quest line is a new addition that wasn't there prior to this patch and I rushed to push it out quickly. I made a quick patch so that you can talk to the person again and get the door code until I update the main quest journal.

Continued on in the game, got in joker area with streetwise, is there a way for players who didn't train in streetwise too? I rather not go without that skill myself. Handed out the samples completed fine, bought 5 synths from each dealer just fine and got into the prophets computer and took the recipe..and Now i'm supposed to find a dealer which it hough it would be the guy sitting on the bench(located upright from safe house) since it says dealer where name would be but i get no conversation, i have streetwise and persuade at lv 3, so i'm not sure where to go from here or am i just on an unfinshed quest?
That's as far as I got with that particular quest line. Sounds like it all worked though. Yes, there is a way in to the Joker Gang without streetwise. I'll keep plugging away. I really want to finish out the joker gang quest lines to move the game into open territory (let players decide where they go). All in good time. I have other promises to fulfill as well. I should have a patch up by today or tomorrow.

I managed to find a script by Yanfly that allows players to switch weapons or armor during battles. It has a 2 turn cool down. I think this will work beautifully with the combat system especially since I just added another script that allows player to freely choose a counter attack skill of their choice. Coupled with the different types of skills/abilities I think this will add a great dimension to character development and decisions during battle. It will need some fine tuning and play testing, but I'm rather excited about it. Thanks for the suggestion Dante.

your welcome for the suggestion, i downloaded the new patch picked my skills learned nanosurgens all good there, tried investment and it said it increases +.50% per level i spent 2 skill points and it told me i have zero levels in it (minor bug here) after i'm in the game and get the credit chip it says I earn 0% interest (before everthing is set on fire) in the skill menu it tells me investment increases rates by .25% per level(so the amounts listed are inconsistant) went into the city deposited 100 credits into my account and now it it tells me I have 800 and I earn 2% interest, then i use the foot locker key i saved from the house that burned to open the the chest get 1300+ credits (lucky) pick up so cash on the ground pick some pockets deposit credits till i have 2500 in my account total and wait.. so how do we tell when its 5:01am in the game?

I git a message tellin me i gain 50 dollars interest so other than the sklls description having different amounts I am gaining interest of 2% at skill level 3.

a very random odd bug, the npc that walks around near the police station just walked up the front wall of the police station on the far left, I was able to walk up and down it too

Time progression day/night/day etc is a bit slow... in 2 hr and some min and investment has only activated once. doesn't seem to be to effective so far.. being able to sleep at the safe house make it happen more fequntly but i'm not in to much of a hurry to get and run out of things to do in game. Speaking of which for that mission (last playthourgh last patch) to change idenitiy were you have to go during the day it was morning just stoped being dark and i could talk to the guy tried waiting..waiting then i finally just went to the safe house to sleep till afternoon
So my suggestion would be to speed up the day night progression and maybe add a way to tell time in game, since theres only one data stream right now which would be a logical place to tell the time, maybe let the in game time be checked at the atm since theres one or more in every area
