Synopsis:

13th April 2020, Ravier Connor, Director and Biggest Shareholder of Vizrel Electronics Industry, invites Damien Raizen to play test his ‘Warfare Simulation’. Claiming that it’s a game, Damien, an avid gamer, decides to give it a shot only to be told later that the actual game requires at least 4 people to attempt.

In their time going through the events that are happening around them, they slowly realized Ravier’s aim for recruiting them in his game stretches far and beyond ‘play testing’ his so-called ‘Warfare simulation RPG’

Introduction:

Black Galax: Revert is an urban fantasy, paranormal horror mystery with a pinch of romance game.

It is a story of uncovering the mysterious nature of a particular artifact called ‘Black Galax’ that has existed for centuries while exploring each of the character’s past and how they are related to the events that are about to unfold during the game.

If you are a fan of an in-depth world where politics (autocracy) and history is discussed, references to anime and games, scientific stuff, occult, characters, tons of foreshadowing with no direct answer, a seemingly-convoluted-but-actually-not plot, String Theory, and some more themes that cannot be said because spoiler, you might like this game.

I don't think just moving step by step and watching the bullets is not gonna help me because Vincent has 62 HP and there are 6 bullets to get through. I gonna get a game over if Vincent touches the bullet 4 times. :/
It is a great game overall and I am enjoying it so far. Keep up with the good work.(*´∀`)♪
I assume you're referring to Fragment 3 Part 2?
Well... there isn't much tips I can give you apart from moving step by step and watch the bullets XD
Hello, I am stuck in a room with a hanged body and projectiles while trying to escape from Athena. Is there a way to get to the other with projectiles in the way? I kept getting a game over while trying to get to the other side.

Nope. Both of them are not visual bugs. They are intentional.

As for the surveillance...
It has something to do with magnets.

Yep. Would love to hear your overall thoughts. Thanks for playing. :D
Hello, tried out the game and really found interesting as lots of challenging puzzles r been put to make it difficult.Hands of to the creators and developers for there time making game. but i came across 2 display bugs in the game, first when reaching the city where u begin the first court trial(sry cant remember all of the city), there is a small cave in the forest right b4 u enter city, which marked ???, when u enter saying blah-blah-blah old fashion equipment and when protagonists set off to leave the cave, right b4 exiting through entrance,(in tht 1sec time to load nxt map) i noticed a glimpse of 2 ppl standing behind us for .5 sec and then dissapeared, is tht counter intentional. 2nd: at the cave created by strange doctor to get 3 fiery essence, the 3 mines right b4 the 3 swtiches, two of the mines appeared to be invincible for like 80% of there travel path(only got glimpse when they were at bottom right of map) excluding the actual mine which is the key to nxt map, really tried hard and focus of hell timing not get hit by invincible mines. but got through, hope fix this bug for new gamers, will glad to share my opinion once i finish the game, and can u help me with the discussion phase of vincent,gary and athena in survelliance room, thx for reading the comment
Just to check. Are you an administrator on your computer?

Yeah try to manually create the folders. See if it works.

I have the same problem. Already copied the game folder and created Achievements folder. The problem is still appearing.
I guess I might have to replay it again to figure out some of the things you said. But it seems that the game is still playable for now, so I can take my time since I'm kind of busy with my final year projects XD (Referring to solar inverse and Livsier cave puzzle)

I'll fix up the consistency problems you mentioned as well (For ABP). I guess a reminder is needed for the Rebuttal Follow up phase, because I'll admit there is too much phases to remember despite it not being part of core gameplay. XD.

For Rebuttal Follow Up Phase, it is using the same set of evidence to rebut all of an opponent's claims. Hence 'Follow up'. If my memory did not serve me wrongly, you have to rebut Dr Terry's claim 3 times using the same set of evidence PLUS one time where you have to show him evidence to prove something. That's what I meant by '3 parts'.

I found out what went wrong with the zombies, so that'll be fixed as well ;) I forgot to factor in people who did not complete the side quest. Very sorry about that. Speaking of that, does it freeze anything else? If it does, where does it freeze till?

author=HumanCalc
Speaking of freezing enemies. Would be nice if you freeze when reading signs in the death quarter fight. I'm like need info to win, must read signs. Stop killing me. NOOOOOO!!

I guess you're referring to Death Quarter 2? Because that is the only one that has stuff chasing you around without freezing. I'll see to it that it's fixed.

To be honest, I'm surprised you had Damien up to level 40 without completing side quests (Guess you grinded pretty hard XD). As for my characters, their level range is around 36 - 37 with side quest completed (When fighting Athena Round 2). Without side quest, they are about 1 - 2 levels lower. (No grinding)

Maybe I might do a video tutorial on fighting this boss.

That's all from me. But hey, thanks for taking the time to write all the issues and bugs for my game, I really appreciate it! I hope you had fun playing thus far despite all the issues and bugs XD

Edit: There's still a boss more powerful than the God waiting in Chapter 7.5 XD
Thanks for the reply. Going to argue some points though XD.

1) talking to Maria, choosing the option 'let Damien say it' will repeat the conversation.
author=Raze
It is meant to repeat if you picked the wrong option.
I'm guessing you might have misunderstood so I'll explain in more detail.
Say A is right option and B is wrong option.

Right now its:
Talk, pick A, proceed further.
Talk, pick B, talk, pick B, talk, pick B.....pick A, (girl complains, told you picked wrong and allow you to walk back and talk again.)

I believe it should be:
Talk, pick A, proceed further.
Talk, pick B, (girl complains, told you picked wrong and allow you to walk back and talk again.)

2) During solar inverse, doors still have Raven speaking even when he isn't there.
author=Raze
Could you specify the exact location?
Raven goes through base. Then team goes through same area of course.
Just all those 'do not enter' doors at the side, for decoration purpose I guess. I'm sure you will find them.

4) Court trial 2, 3rd 'question' after save. Shows the 6 evidence for the next question instead. (I guessed many buttons until I hit the correct A :| )
author=Raze
Yes, it is meant to show the same 6 evidence for all the 3 parts in that one question. As for the 'A' button, it has been explained at the first court trial. (I guess I have to add a reminder if many people forgot XD)
Pretty confused how its correct.
Usually when you show evidence, you pick evidence. Not the case here.
Usually when you need to hold the button to proceed, you show the buttons needed for example Q: neccessary point, W: unneccessary point. Not the case here.
Maybe mentioning the type of phase was the hint to hold a button. (Personally can't remember the different phases.) Buttons usually include from Q,W,A,S,Z,X. Knowing what button to press when not shown is hard.
So when I see the list of evidence used straight after I think its a mistake instead of randomly not showing what you need to press.
Also confused what you mean by evidence for 3 parts. Twice not equal 3. Very confused O_O

5) Zombies freeze if you touch the door saying 'Mist Levinwing' in block B
author=Raze
I did it on purpose to make sure the zombies won't accidentally attack you when you're interacting with the door.
Shouldn't you unfreeze them after interacting with the door then, or at least when leaving the room, or building...
City of the frozen zombies isn't fun to clear :|

Speaking of freezing enemies. Would be nice if you freeze when reading signs in the death quarter fight. I'm like need info to win, must read signs. Stop killing me. NOOOOOO!!

Gonna ask about secondary attack button for ABS battles. Usually S but for Vincent is D. Why not keep the same button? I'm like why is the attack not working (not told its D). Then got annoyed when a later battle 'reminds' me it's D. So that's why...

Nice tips on the boss. Tried most though. Except Lyeric, frost and understanding what the covers did. I haven't tried again yet.
Luck factor. The best is killing 3 of 4 entity. The lightning resisting one is usually the hardest to kill. When unlucky Athena dies before the entities appear. Or simply die to AOE nukes :|
Just curious but what lvl are your characters? Mines are 35-38, except Damien at 40.
Too much typing XD. ZZZ

6) Revisiting one of the towns, a Mayor suddenly gave me some evidence. Was told to talk to Rinne, but Rinne doesn't talk. Guess I missed something first time.
3) If you revisit Vallae's office, you see your team standing there.

Thanks for telling me!

Made quite some progress. However a certain god was just too hard :(
Spent hours so gonna give up. Just can't kill quick enough.
Not sure if underleveled or underequipped. Was too poor to buy some of the later weapons :(
Time to restart and complete some of those quests I missed.

I'm able to quite consistently beat the boss without doing any side quest and using only the equipment provided. (Luck factor is still involved)

Here's some tips that I used, tell me if it works:

1. Make sure you keep Ventos Entity alive - It can use Medical Mist to offset the effects of Chronic Bleed Out. (Thereby stalling the battle)
2. Use Ravier. He's your greatest asset
3. Spam AOE when the 4 entity is summoned. With the 'Cover' State, you can quickly eliminate the Entities as fast as possible as attacks directed to Athena will hit the entity instead when her HP is low enough.
4. Use Damien exclusively for support - Mainly defense control to boost your damage output and attack control to reduce damage taken.
5. Use Lyeric for the 'Defence Ignore' state on the God, you'll see that your damage output is significantly increased and can overcome the 5% medical mist.
6. Make sure that when Ventos Entity dies, you're well set up to finish the God once Medical Mist runs out (Meaning all healed up, defense at its lowest etc)
7. Oh, the god is also vulnerable to frost ;)

Thanks for taking the time to write the issues! I hope the tips help.

Still no luck :(
I've been smashing the red switch a million times. The switches just flip back up instantly doing nothing.
Are they bugged or something? What is meant to happen? I was really expecting monsters to appear when you hit the switches but nothing happens.

I think you forgot the contents of the tablet XD. This is what it says when you read it the first time.

"So which switch will deactivate which twisted evil looking round thing?"

Basically when you activate the 'red' switch, it will cause one of those mines to be harmless.
To collect fiery essence from it, simply approach that harmless mine.

author=HumanCalc
The sign where Annabel talks to you can be repeated. So she talks again, without showing Annabel though. She is meant to be gone of course. Maybe she reappears as a ghost :P

Noted. Thanks for telling me!

More minor bugs XD

Stuck in a puzzle :(
In the Annabel cave with the 3 coloured switches to get the 3rd fiery essence.
I've been mashing the switches in random orders which seem to do nothing.
That sign with the 'observed so far; clue isn't a helpful clue :|

Based on the color of the switches you have activated so far. Are they red? ;)

On a different topic. If I remember right, in the 1st court trial, the evidence before and after the question involving the 3 micro is different (only 3 micro same).

Fixed it :D Thanks for telling me. I'll upload the fix sometime in the future since it is something pretty minor and it doesn't affect gameplay.

I see. I occasionally have this problem before a fight.
But this only happens in Prologue 1 for some reason.
Till today I haven't found a cause for it.
Another crash while fighting the bandits.
It said "RGSS3 has stopped working."
Then it was forced shut down.
I restarted the game. It didn't happen again, just like the last few times.
I guess this means despite crashing you're still able to carry on playing? Is the error something along the lines of game interpretor?
I think you got a battle crashing bug. It's in the forest. crashed twice.
When that white hair girl walked up and asked to do battle (very out of the blue), it crashed again. They were all on different maps.
author=Ron_Destiny
This game is great, but there are many verb conjugation errors that make dialogue awkward to read. May I suggest spell checking your work before releasing it? Other than that, good work!

Could you erm... explain? Thanks XD

Well, I'm kind of stuck outside of Ravier's mansion, unable to find a key or some other ways to get in. Is there a way to turn off the data sound whenever someone speaks?

There's a green unpassable bush. Activate that bush to clear.
As for the sound, unfortunately no. Maybe I might fix that for the next version if people find it too annoying.

What I mean is that, in RPGs, words are like poison at times, use them carefully. Do try to avoid a 20 min information dump in the beginning. You'll put your players to sleep. If it were a commercial game, you'll lose players in the first 5 minutes for sure. Paying customers are pickier and more demanding. But you're OK here since it's a free game. Don't worry. You won't be judged as harshly.

I'll keep this in mind in the future :D

Try not to hop from scene to scene so frequently, though. It's not just confusing, it gets annoying, too. I understand you are trying to tell 3 or 4 sides of the story at the same time. Sometimes you just have to pick and choose what's more important, and find a better way to do it.

There won't be as many scene hopping as compared to the prologue. But I'll keep this in mind next time.

Your game seems to have a nice story backbone(which is what a lot of games are lacking), and the mapping is nice, too. (Are those Lunarea's tilesets? They look nice.) If you aren't sure about the best ways to execute your plots. I'd say, pay attention to how others implement their ideas in their stories. Play GOOD games. It's worth paying for commercial games from time to time. If you don't have the money, at least play their DEMOs.

Yep, they're Lunarea's tilesets.
I won't say I'm unsure in terms of plot execution. I think I did the buildup quite nicely. But then again, I haven't gotten a lot of feedback so I'll be interested to hear what people think about it.
