Version 3.8 of the demo. I guess you could call it Alpha 3.8?

3.8 DOES NOT drop you in front of the Cursed Passages. Sorry about the hassle, but I just revamped the Introduction, and I believe that I fixed Nairikuno so that the "War" there goes on properly and continues on to Eldridge's Estate. In order to make sure everything is running smoothly, I need it to start from the beginning.

In the manor when you go downstairs you cant come back up.

If you try to go down the stairs to the right you are prevented.

Also I forget where, but inside the Manor you can accidentally walk onto the outside tiles and walk all around the perimeter but you cant get back off.

Remember in the ORIGINAL game, Kenshi taught Muzai and her dad FIRST AID but because Tester Barrels got us past that, Muzai never learned her spell.

At Kenshis house Muzai is always sleeping and once awakened will rerun the entire scene repeatedly even though you already heave Muzai in the party.

At the oasis the game crashes if you talk again to the man who gave you two fish.

Also if you return to the bandits hideout to get those chests you missed by using the Tester Barrel, you can get them but you cant get back outside.

In Pacquios house if you beat him you get a Travelers Mug but if he defeats you, you dont. I dont know if this makes any difference one way or another, but worth mentioning.

The manor was a way of letting you back up once you defeat the boss, so I may have forgot to add a way to go back up manually XD

The blockage was a leftover remnant from when I was testing those. I'll delete that.

I'll keep that in mind, but I'll need to know where its at the next time you do a run-through to fix it.

Muzai never learns First Aid in the first place, if I recall, she says it's too complicated ;D.

The Kenshi's House scene is pissing me off. I'm still trying to find a way around that. It might need to be fixed with the same fix I used for the Elder's house prematurely letting you in. I'll get right on that.

That fish guy is pissing me off too. I wonder what's causing that crash...
Figured it out! There was an old faceset I used on him still set for the Dialogue. I'll just need to set that back to normal, and that'll be all fixed.

Haa~ My bad. You were never meant to be able to get out manually, so I forgot to put an exit. I'll get that in now.

Defeating Pacquiao is supposed to net you the Mug, losing is supposed to deny the optional teammate for the Second Saga, so that's intended.

Phew! Those bugs were a HELL of a lot easier to fix than last time. Either that, or I'm getting better at this XD

Keep up the good work. I'll shoot you a PM when the next update is out.
I think youre right...Muzai DIDNT get it! My bad, Master.
So with 3.3 how are we supposed to get the boy sage. Im a bit confused. We need him to enter the Passages right?
Actually about being able to walk along the perimeter....when you go down into the cellar and try to go back up...THATS when it happens, when you re-enter the room.
Hey, sorry about the delay. I took a rest n my bed 'cause my back was killing me, and passed out XD

To get Shinoken, the Sage, you need to clear Telbooze Manor.
The boy, Tensai, you get in the Aquifer Tunnels under Nairikuno.
That's a my bad for not clairifying.

Okay, so I'll fix that immediately. That's a nice bug leftover from the Aesthetics Update. Thanks for that catch, I'd have never thought there'd be one there.

Fixes'll be up once the compression and upload is done. I'll send that PM over; no worries about me falling asleep this time, I'm caffeinated, in a proper chair, and pumped on working!

Wish me luck!
Sinoken keeps telling me to wait and he will be over in a moment. I have opened the treasure chests and went down to the shrine that repeats about his beloved Yatta. But nothing happens and I have sat there for 10 minutes thinking it would continue. But he keeps saying the same thing.
Also you fixed the door to Kenshis house but you cant go back in. Also I think you said you had fixed the entrance to the manor, so you can go back in and get all the SAKE in the basement. You cant go back in.

Alright, eliminated the switch requirements to go into both Kenshi's house and the Manor. Left it on for the event, though, so that should still work.

I see what I did wrong with the event related to the Shrine. I put it so Shinoken had to be present. He's not supposed to be XD

I'll start compression immediately. I'll shoot you a PM when it's done.
Still frozen at the shrine!

Did you try waiting for a bit? Shinoken walks over from where he's standing.

I'll take a look at the movement route to make sure he doesn't get stuck on something.
that long is it....hmmm you do like tohave cut scenes last a bit....ok although I am sure I waited a good while. Sorry, Cap'n.
Nope, nope....sorry. Nothing. They still stand and no one shows up.
I think it has to do with the way I set the event up. I'll set up an individual event for Shinoken instead of a control switch; I'll test it before I compress and upload.

Wish me luck!

Luck, Cap'n!

Thanks for it! I finally managed to get it working properly. Took me forever and a day though. I'll hit you up with a PM once 3.6b is uploaded.
Ok....now theres no Shinoken at all in the house.
If you go back into the manor and down the stairs to the right, when you come back up, you are stuck.
Alright, playing one of my own testing saves, the fix doesn't carry over to old saves. It's a pity that, I sunk an hour and a half into my own test...

Fixed the manor bug. Another one leftover from the Aesthetic's update.

Taking into account what you sent in the PM, I'll temporarily default Muzai and Kenshi with some better armor and weaponry, as well as level 5, (The level they were at after my run-through.) I'll also put them right outside the Cursed Passages.

I'll PM you when 3.7 is out.
In the Passages after you get to the lower level, theres a spot where the moment you move from checking a barrel that you encounter enemies and it crashes the game everytime.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOk, I got past that by just sidestepping it and continuing. However in the Passages the game crashes a lot so I just kept saving every few feet and managed to get through.
The area where you get the miners hats, planks,etc...this is all repeatable.
I dont know what the planks did because I never used them even when there were some boards which looked as if that might be the place to do so.
The puzzle with the torches was totally confusing. I ended up lighting them in counter clockwise until all were lit EXCEPT the one in the middle...no idea if it was supposed to be lit. I just walked past it and down into the next room. The boss killed everyone except Shuniken who killed the boss then whisked us out of the cave.If you go north and enter the cave where the teo soldiers are you can get to a point farther in where a gate has gone down but you cant enter into the area beyond.
I fought a buttload of bandits and finally got Kukulooku or what ever his name is.I swear I killed all the bandits a 1000 over and they keep coming. I suspect this is the end of the demo. Narikuno is a BIG city. Cant wait to see what youre going to do next...and when.

Oh the land battles have an aboard ship back drop....woo hoo.

Gonna have to check that barrel! Fucking barrels. In any case, if you could write down and tell me what the crashes say, that'd be wonderful. I'll also do a run-through of the place myself.

As for the repeatable stuff; Don't you just love self-switches?

Haa~ The screwed up battles are the fault of my currently unfinished work with getting battlebacks to change in different areas. I'll have to turn that off XD

The Final Bandit battle with the Bandit Leader is essentially the end of the demo. There's no legitimately formal end yet, as this is, essentially, the in-progress version.

The puzzle has a riddle to it, it's in the center of the room, the little shrine thingy.

Instructions in the spoiler.

"To the Sun's Rise lies the the flame to set free, to the Moon's set lies the key.
This just means that a torch on the east side will give you an optional mini-boss, whereas a torch on the west side will open the seal.
"Tarry once to douse the flames;twice to light the moon aflame; Thrice to watch old Helios rise."
This tells you that by intereacting with the torch once, you turn it off. the second time activates the "Moon" switch, and the third time activates the "Helios" switch, which releases the miniboss.
"From the cragged stone, the hands of a clock spin back in time; two in the hand are prized than one in the bush; the sum and two better still..."
Look at the rock. Find the torch closest to it. Go counterclockwise five torches. That's the torch you need. Touch it twice to move on, thrice to fight the miniboss.
"Follow the Southern Winds, and from where the stone shall have stood, follow the hands of time, six in the quiver and perhaps four more."
Go to the next room with torches and look at the top left torch. From there, count ten times. Interact with it 2 times to get out, 3 times to fight the boss.
