I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night...

Hello and welcome to the greatest adventure ever made!
Hm I've not said the best or most original... but get ready for a good one!

HeroMan is the stereotypical hero in a stereotypical fantasy world in which he has to defeat the stereotypical demon lord after levelling up, learning spells and upgrading his weapons and armors. But this is also a cute parody that is full of jokes, secrets and choices!

Fun, fun, and fun again!
"The Brief and Meaningless Adventure of Hero Man", or "Hero Man", plays like most other jrpg games: you interact with people and wander different dungeons, caves and other non civilized areas. In these wild areas you can expect to trigger random encounters and meet some colorful monsters that are classical homages to some popular creatures of other jrpg games (I'll just mention a ball-shaped creature that self destructs). The gameplay is quite easy, you level up quickly and learn useful spells even if you can probably complete the game without even using them.
It's easy!

Oh yeah we did it! But was this the best ending? There are 12 different outcomes!

The world is small and the adventure is short, you can probably complete it in 15-20 minutes...
But try to grind up to level 12!
Or take your time to earn 300 gold to buy the powerful flame sword!
Or try to rest five times at the inn!

You will surprised by the outcome...

there are many different endings, some are boring, others are tragic, some are hilarious and others are simply great! Find your perfect ending! Hero Man is a short and amusing adventure full of surprises and silly events.

Graphically the game is custom... I guess! It's clearly inspired to the oldest jrpgs and take a lot of inspiration by classics presenting a world that is both new and familiar. Not original, but filled with humor and funny dialogues. There are lots of hidden details and small things that have to be seen.

But this is not all! Music is retro and varied, cute and colorful, appropriated to the various situations, the custom menu is really well done. Combat is easy but balanced and it is never hard or too long, you can easily escape.

How long is the game? Well the standard, boring and complete run (or "play by the book") is about 16 minutes, but you clearly can spend more or less time depending on your choices during the game.

Take this, you ugly beast!!!

Verdict!
"The Brief and Meaningless Adventure of Hero Man" is exactly what the title promises: mindless fun in a little package, short time but good gameplay, and lots of laughs. It's a little parody but done with great care, extremely detailed and polished. I found not a single bug, error or problem, game is extremely enjoyable and despite being short it shows a lot of detail and dedication considering the many different paths! What could be better than this? A longer and bigger meaningless adventure, or maybe not, since due to the different paths it's a good thing that the adventure is short.
Nonenthless this is a good game for sure, and Good in Rmk.net is 4! And 4 it is!!!

Oh man this is taking me way back, lol. I'm glad to hear you liked this old adventure of mine! It would definitely inspire me to work on Brave Hero Yuusha shortly after.

Thanks for the stellar review! :)
