AUTHOR: Maister-Räbbit
GENRE: Horror / Adventure
ENGINE: RM 2k3
STATUS: Completed
LANGUAGE: German / English

"Two month have passed, since i went to live with my aunt Margaret.
The days are passing by, like a lazy fog, always gray and the same.
My aunts mansion has a lot of space, but is as empty and vast, as it is big and old, i think i will never feel at home here.
I can not even remember, when i smiled the last time..."

~

~
"I am convinced, that aunt Margaret only tries her best, but she has
always been a rather peculiar person.
She stacked my Guestroom with toys, even though i am much to old, for this kind of stuff.
It is difficult to talk to her, she always reminds me, that you should not talk about your feelings.
I should focus on my studying, she says..."

~

~
"The nightmares are becoming worse, i feel as if i had not slept for weeks.
Mister Henning, our butler, makes me a nightcap every evening, but even this
does not help anymore...
I feel that something is tearing me appart from the inside, but i don´t now what to do in order to stop it.
Aunt margaret does not understand, she treats me like a child,
as if i was mad...
Sometimes i think she is the one who looses her mind."

~

~
"The world outside is becoming more and more alien to me
and i have the feeling, to loose myself inside these walls.
I don´t know what to do.
But do i even have a choice?"

~ Fiona Thompson
~18. June 1935

FEATURES:
A game of light and shadows: Lighteffects are´nt only for the optics, they are strongly connected to the gameplay.
~
A dark and psychedelic tale is revolving around young Fiona, a teenage girl who suffered a stroke of fate.
~
Enemies are following you through the entire house - find a way to escape them, because Fiona is unarmed.
This will be possible through a kind of "Fleeing-System" similiar to the one in "Desert Nightmare".
~
Dynamic shock-effects and encounters are fluidly determined by the players choices in the game.
~

"Agoraphobia" will be a dark Horror-Adventure with Puzzleelements.

As you may, or may not notice, english is not my first language, i am apparently german :D
I plan in translating the game into english and gladly accept any help as soon, as the game will be realeased.
If you want to take part in it, just leave me a message or contact me via PM.

Thank you, good Sir!

I keep pushing this project, until its finished, but the current status is already pretty advanced.

When the Project is finished, tested and all bugs are erased, i will begin with the first, rough translation. When that is done, i could use some help in form of foolproof readers.

Hey!
The estimated release already expired, dayum ^^

The development was on hold for a month, due to the nature of "real-life" work,
but i am working like a madman to complete the original (german) version.
As soon as it reaches gold-status and all bugs and flaws are fixed, i will start translating it ;)

New estimated release date on rpgmaker.net: Summer 2014

Stay tuned!
Thanks for the lil update :3
I'm sure no one will mind waiting a bit longer.
This game seems like it will be pretty good so I'm looking forward to it!
I hope this game will be out soon. After I am done the game I am playing, I hope to play this next.
@Delayed_Chimera:
I hope i won´t dissapoint expectations, but at least i can say, that all my testers, where more than satisfied with the outcome ; )

@Indurok:
I hope so too ^^
As said, when it´s done, i will translate it, wich will take up to a month (maximum!)
I hope my english is sufficient enough, so that the ingame text will not sound dull, or weird.

... still, i could use a helping hand or two for the foolproof-reading.

More information, when it´s done!

Stay tuned again!

Yeah, I'm gonna be doing a let's play type thing of this when it's done. It would be awesome to have some part of it, so if you send me a text copy, I could try to correct any grammatical or spelling mistakes. I only know English though, so I can't do translation. Not so good with code either.
@ScoptOriginal:
Perfect :D
I will do the translation myself, but common-speech or english grammar could be a small challenge. So it would be nice if someone could take a look at it, before i make a fool of myself.
Edit:
And do not worry about the code, i am pretty proficient with the makerstuff
and have a big bunch of testers on hand. ; )
... and there is a nice tool (DreaMaker), that reads the whole ingame text and puts it in a txt.-file, wich will make foolproof reading and translating a lot easier!

You will get a PM when it´s done!

Thanks, I work freelance as a proofreader, so I'm fairly confident I can deal with corrections. With the code, I was just a bit worried that I would have to find the text hidden within, so a .txt file with just the ingame text would be a real help. If you could set a deadline for corrections at the same, that would probably help me to work faster, and maybe either put the game out when it's done and update it when the corrections come in, or put it out on the deadline regardless of whether I'm finished. I don't really want to make the good people wait any longer than they have to for this awesome looking game.
@ScoptOriginal:
Sounds good! I will set a deadline, for you, if you think you would work faster that way, hehe.
And yeah, translating from the code is like the thing with the needles and the haystacks - a mess ^^ - so i have that covered for you!
But i´ll give you more information, when i have that planned out and i can estimate how much time the translation/ proofeading will take.

... and thanks for the "awesome-looking" thingy :D
Hope i won´t dissapoint those expectations!
The game is a bit buggy; for example, in the bear-infested memories of Fiona, when you try to return to Fiona's room, or enter mother's room (not the one near the end of the memories, but the on the 2 floor) screen turns black.

Also, i would like to translate the game on russian, don't you mind?
@BaronSamedi:

Feel free tp do so :)
But be aware, that the current german version is not 100% fixed yet, as there are still some minor bugs to crush and flaws to straighten out.

You do not happen to be the one who already made this, are you?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFu2HstJhwc

If so, i appreciate your work!
Edit:
Haha, just ran the name of the youtube-channel through a translator. Yes its you ^^
@MaisterRabbit:
Thank you! Very good game. One of the best horrors in the german community, in my opinion, along with Taut and Kelven's "Nightmare" series. Perhaps even the best.

Yes, that was my clip, but that was just an intro. Actually, i finished the translation yesterday ) Fixed the bug with black screens by myself, is that ok?

By the way, do you need bug reports? I tried to get in contact with you via multimediaxis, but there was no responce (((
@Baron Samedi:
Thank you very much for ths major compliment! ´:)

As said, i am totally fine with you fixing things, but be aware, that there will be another version, with huge updates, fixes and more content.
(wich is the reason i did not finish the raw english version yet :P)

I am sorry i didn´t answer on multimediaxis, but of course, just send me those reports, you can can never have enough of these things ; )

@MaisterRabbit
PM'd you on multimediaxis. )
That is some very German English there :)
I see a few typos as it is.
I'm a German as well, would like some help translating this? I'd love to give you a hand!
please update this once in a while, and don't tell me that this game is dead!!!
@Zealconis:
Hey, hey, hey! As said, the german Version is out since July this year.
I am working on a major update of this game, wich is why i did not want to start translating it yet.

But i still could use some (or a lot of) helping hands, as i dont see myself handling a translation of this proportions.

So even if i said otherwise in previous posts:
I gladly take any offer, if someone wants to translate this game on their one.
(A russian translation has already been made, so it wouldnt hurt if the current release would be translated into english aswell.)
You can find the newest version of the game here: http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-15861/rbg_agoraphobia_10.rar

EDIT: I also added the german Version to the RMN download section.
