A game about a kid and the monster under his bed.

"Bedtime is supposed to be a happy event for a tired child; for this child it was terrifying. While some children might complain about being put to bed before they have finished watching a film or playing their favourite video game, when he was a child, night time was something to truly fear."

The game, like many of my horror games, tries to scare you without too many of the typical "screamers", instead relying on atmosphere and suspense.

Based on a short story by Michael Whitehouse

need explanation's
the player needing to make assumptions is not a good plot!

Why would it be not good if that is part of the fantastic genre?

Also, since I am commenting, let me tell you, Owl, thanks for answer me by tumblr, and I can ensure you that the spanish version is not close to the amount of downloads the original has (not even if you count both translators).

Alright, thank you for telling me.

Also, Shayoko: The reason neither of those were answered was because it wasn't really needed. It's either not important to the plot, or it's better left unanswered.
I really love this game so far. I'm currently doing a let's play of it on my YouTube channel. :D

It Moves Let's Play
Just finished the game.

That...was...incredible.

Easily one of the most atmospheric experiences I've had with any medium, game or otherwise.

Thank you! Just, thank you!

Oh, and Double bonus points for not trying to make the game seem longer by adding logic puzzles.
@MorteTorment
Yeah.. The puzzles that are there are pretty easy, they are mostly there for a small break.
Glad you enjoyed it.
O__O I am so freaking scared right now. My fingers are sweating at the keyboard. I'm so stupid for playing this at night O_O I have no ideea how do you manage to make a simple story like this into something so sinsiter. One of the creepiest atmosphere ever. Great job and I really hope that I can have a peaceful sleep since I tend to have very vivid dreams and a crazy imagination...
I just did a fullwalkthrough, and I have to say that the game was absolutely compelling. I got a huge silent hill x Criminal Origins Vibe for some reason and I couldn't keep out of it. Great work. If anyone wants to check this out, there are a ton of videos on the game, but this one is right in front of you.

Enjoy!

Good game, but I wasn't scared. I was grinning. I had these dreams when I was young for a quite a long time GJ though.
Hey guys I'm new to this site and this is the first game I've played myself (watched let's plays of the popular ones, Ib, To The Moon etc..) I really like it a lot but when I try save and it gives me the option to select saveslot, when i hit Z on a save file it gives the error noise and doesnt save!! Please help guys i really want to play this game. Thanks !
Hooray. The first horror game to get me to quit midway.
I love this game. I'd write a review, but I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said already. Good work on the atmosphere and jumpscares. This is the type of game I couldn't finish when I was younger.

My one complaint might be the underwater section. Although I find swimming in deep water scary, this section wasn't scary at all for me. Maybe if you had been able to capture the vastness of the ocean better, rather than emphasizing claustrophobia.

I agree. But I still like the area, and the game is complete, so I won't be changing it.
There's not a lot of games that do capture that kind of enviroment well actually but recently I tried out a game in beta (I think it's beta of alpha or whatever), Subnautica, that has some parts that actually captured the vastness of the ocean really well, and some parts are really scary.
The weirdest part is that it's not even a horror game. You should give it a try!
As soon as i saw the bed shaking part, i remembered the creepy pasta. It was sad because i already knew what was going to happen.
Dragnfly
Beta testers!? No, this game needs a goddamn exorcist!

I got this game first and that tipped me off to Michael Whitehouse's work. So advertising works both ways and I'm a huge fan now:)
Michael would be pleased, I'm sure!

https://youtu.be/I286fU4y4Jw?t=10m34s congrats on getting featured in a CreepsMcPasta video. The guy has a pretty popular channel. I've been subbed for some time and once I saw this video I was thinking "yeah yeah but there's no way he'll mention SnowOwl's one."

proved me wrong in the best possible way.
Ooh, nice. He had some pretty nice things to say about it, too!
