I figured it was time for a quick update, since it has been a little while since the first blog was posted and I *have* been making progress through the weeks (albeit still not as much as I'd hoped).

I'm nearing completion of the third chapter of the novel. It has proven to be quite a different experience than the previous novel in the series was, both in style and tone, and is indeed much easier to write. I've kept to my promise (so far) to make it longer than the first one, as the chapters have used twice as many lines as before, and the dialogue is much longer overall. To draw a picture, I was at almost 10,000 words by the end of the 2nd chapter, and the entire first novel itself was only 62,000 words total. So... it should reach to twice the length when finished.

My time is going to be a bit limited over the next couple months, as I've been recording my band's first EP (this shit is gonna be a hit!), but hopefully progress won't be slowed too much. I feel the need to top off the end of ch.3 when I get home from work tonight too, so ya know... whenever and wherever I can, I will.
