Part of the RPG Maker Classics Archive: an initiative to upload classic RM games so they are not forgotten.

Developed by: Secef
Date of Release: 2003

The Most Stupidest Game Ever Re-Duh! is a chuckle-heavy game that doesn't take itself too seriously. It follows the tale of Hubert aka Doug, and his release from prison to find himself bereft of a home. On a journey to reclaim his lost bundle of land, he makes many enemies and 'friends', not all in the expected places.

TMSGER was made in RM2K and focuses on making the player laugh. In fact, that is it's sole great point - a game that will cause you to chuckle at least once, even after years. Though there are some jokes that are straight-out taken from other places (Monty Python, for example) there's also many which are of Secef's creation and there's bound to be at least a few laughs for everyone here and there through-out the game.

Sadly, there's not much else that the game does well, besides writing. Though characters are certainly not dull, they do fall short of being well-rounded. The graphics are... best not discussed. The game was created early on and as with most joke games, it fell short of 'pretty', going instead for utilitarian map creation, using many different styles of graphics to create an environment that is ripe for laughter.

If you can get past the mish-mash of different graphics, you will find one of the most beloved classic games, well-remembered for the many laughs it deals out to the player.

ALL HAIL PAPA SMURF!

I don't know how other people are getting this to run in 2022.
With EasyRPG: https://easyrpg.org/player/

Thank you! I tried using EasyRPG a while ago but I didn't know how to use it. I finally figured out how and can now play this and many other games.

Unfortunately, like some other players mentioned, I am now stuck at the airship dock section (can't go up the ladder, Map0087 according to the EasyRPG log). But pretty cool game!

@Lookatyou1: Your problem might be that you got the official rmweb RTP and not the unofficial one. The RTP link you posted should have all the files you need to run it, I'm assuming you only just grabbed the harmony.dll file but it helps to grab the rest of the files and just dump them in the RTP folder directly in C:\Program Files (x86)\ASCII\RPG2000\RTP or something.
I think this game is unplayable for me. First I got "RTP not found" error so I moved every folder in the RTP into the matching folders in the game (Backdrop, CharSet etc.). Then, I got harmony.dll not found error, I downloaded it from the RPG Tsukuru 2000 Utility and put it in the game folder. Then Direct Draw error, fixed it by running game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 as I learned from another site. Then, upon pressing start, got "Cannot find file vehicle" error. I went into the files and renamed "Vehicles" to "vehicle". Then pressed start again and got "Cannot find file chara1" error. I couldn't find any file named chara1 and didn't know which file I should rename to chara1 so I gave up.

I don't know how other people are getting this to run in 2022.

Documenting this game for preservation's sake! :)
I cannot enter the airship after going through the forest-maze, a game destroying bug?
I don't know what's wrong, but I can't even get past the first map because the arrow keys won't even move Herbert. The button to open the menu works fine, but anything involving movement just will not work. Sometimes it will receive an input and he moves, but it's once every like 10 seconds.
Wait, I think I do have another RPG Maker 2000 game, and that one works just fine. Is it just this game that is imcompitable, or is it corrupted? Please try to fix it if you can. I really want to give this game a try.
I tried to play the game, but first, I needed the RTP, so I downloaded that, and it still wouldn't work. I wonder if it is imcompitable with Windows 10.
This was funny for most of its run, but around the last third I wanted to end, especially with what is essentially the last dungeon, a forest that just didn't want to fucking end! Liked the ending though.
Ten years ago, I still remember this phrase: "I kick ass for the lord". I'm so happy to see it again!
runtime package not found, rtp.exe? that's what it says when I try to play it
Aw Man this game is just simply wierd but funny for the most part,I didn't know that there exist a game where you kill Papa smurf.
Little help, please. Is there a version of the game I can dl that doesn't make it impossible to board the airship or do I need to edit the game myself? (Haven't used rpgmaker in over a decade)
This is quite amusing. It is dumb at times, but remains on a tolerable level.
That kitten was hilarious, and the insulting save point makes for a good companion. We also have the ever-following merchant on board.

The mapping is bland for the most part, so are the battles, but it keeps an amusing tone. Some puzzles are rather annoying, though (teleportation puzzles are always annoying)
It is not enough for me to keep playing, but it is a fairly decent game.

Don't want to sound silly here, but, em, could someone, please, help me through the
numbers puzzle? The one with 25 switches. I don't get it at all, not even after Violas tried to explain it. Thanks.

Its one of the bugs or design mistakes of the game, you have to try some numbers and then it starts to make that but also there is also a bug because the explanation is not repeated.

You have to get that number sumig each switch number, like 24 +10,34? and then go to the door and check.

the game ahve two more poitns like this when papa smurf combat there is a bug with scan skill and when contiung wiht the journey and a event that dint work well for me at least.

The game is in general nice but with the mistakes that already pointed... adn some others:

-The enemies are the same and no variety and challengue from that
-too easy and simple in combat
-you only discover that there exist endings different, but thats at the final part, and are little variatons, and you cant havee freedom ot chanue tat.xD you wont play the game 9 times to do it, minus if you dont have any clue of these things.
-Bosses are or too easy or too "i have 10000 hp and the combat get 10000 turns"-

For the rest is very fun and gme,
Hahahaha I wasn't rushing him just a friendly reminder. Aremen you rock for posting this stuff. You know there was another effort similar to this on the forum. Might be worth checking out http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/4667/ You should also get in touch with Segnin he's got a TON of the older stuff from the "good ol' days".
Aremen
Then the LORD Aremen said unto Zack, "Behold, I will rain gams from Heaven for you; and the people shall go out and play a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in My maps, or no." - 3TileRule 4:16, Holy Help File

Rejoice, My children, for a download cometh thy way. Enjoy ye this, one of Mine Beloved games of the past, and laugh ye, knowing thy God laughs with thee.

And remember, Children Mine, that the RTP files be necessary to the playment of this game.
