Bleeding Moons is an interactive story with some simple adventure games mechanics. If you have played games like To the Moon, this game is similar in its gameplay except that there is much more interaction.

A word of caution : This game features some scenes and dialogues that are not suitable for children.

You are Ian de Valmain, second son of the count de Valmain and not destined to heir. Through a chain of events, he is sent to work at a mercenary camp. With all that he will see and do, Ian will have to deal with his conscience and find the reason why he is alive.

Will he endure the suffering of this life so the one he loves can be happy?
How far will he go to protect them?

Whatever he chooses, his life will never be the same thereafter.

Direct demo link here.

Please note: This demo (v.0.4) is getting old now. Almost a year has passed and a lot of improvements were made since, including a rewriting of the English sentences for a more natural feeling, with the help of a native American friend.
I'm not shutting down this link, but there will be another demo when the game is closer to release.

i cant get past the guard help!

Which guard is bothering you?
the one where you have to get in to the manison
OK. Stay on the right on the screen.
When he's busy talking to Luna, you can sneak in.

If you use the mouse to move, sometimes the pathfind will make you go too far on the left and you'll be seen. Either click nearer to Ian to be sure of the path walked or use the keyboard.
i use the keyboard. i tried to stay to the right but every time i try to sneak pass the guard and luna it wont let me. its like there something blocking me on the right side.

I've tried it again and it went well. Of course, I know the game so maybe I'm taking another route than you. Here is how to pass.
From the starting point, when the guard and Luna are speaking:
Right-Up-Up-Left (to go past the tree) then:
Up-Up-Left-Left-Left-Left (where the guard had a pee earlier).
This will send you right in front of the entrance of the mansion.

Just remember to start walking only when the guard is distracted by Luna. If you go too soon, you'll get caught.
i tried that but the thing is when i try to go up when they start talking(after i go right, from where i started.) ian turns the other way he wont go up. im sorry to be bothering you with all of this...
Hey I just finished the game and I love it so far!!<3 Some scenes really got to me and I almost felt bad for the main character. The tough decisions he’s made to go through definitely give me a sense of character growth as he adjusts to the adult world changing his perspectives around him. I’m a sucker for romance so most of the choices revolve around River. :P Especially after the scenes with his brother. I haven’t played a game, not centered on horror, which has really got depth and mystery, unless you can recommend another game! (^.^)/ Keep up the great work and I can’t wait for more of the game.
Thank you!

Strange bug indeed. Since other people finished the game using the same build, that one won't be easy to replicate. There's nothing preventing Ian from walking, no invisible wall... I don't know why he doesn't want to go up.

Anyway, I thought of two things to try:
1 - Try from an earlier savegame. Maybe something got bugged in the engine and it saved the bug.

2 - This one might work if the problem is only on the right of the tree. When Luna starts walking towards the guard but while they still aren't talking to each each other, try to quickly walk around this tree from the left (that is Left-Left-Up-Up-Right). You also have the possibility to do so when the guard is facing left, showing the inn to Luna. This last one is much harder to get done in time, but possible.

@Amayachibi:
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, Ian will have some more difficult times ahead of him.
About romance, I tried to make River a likeable character since she is Ian's first love. Players had to love her enough for this setting to work.
But there are other romance possibilities for Ian if the player feels otherwise.
While I'll probably never know what happened, I'm glad it's finally working for you!
Part 3 is out guysssss. =D

It would really be cool if u guys leave a like and comment.
Spread the word about this game.ITS AWESOME. =D
Thank you Jayogamer!
Yes, a lot of clicking this time ;)
Pathfinding is quite efficient by the way. You always get where you clicked. If you can't, the keyboard cannot as well (obstacles in the way etc.)

You can click on almost everything to get some more background and dialogues with Luna, but none of them are actually required, unless explicitly said.
I know some people like to try everything while others focus on the main story.
I figured in my playtests that you can add a whole hour of gaming if you read every description. That could be too much especially when recording a Let's play.
Yeah. I should try not reading the unimportant dialogues. Im working on Part 4 right now and my mic sounds better. I kind of got stuck in the part where you have to put poison on Conrad's food. So yeah, i could use some help in dat part. haha.
As Luna said, Ian has to look for intel while being in the mansion.
If you look at the furnitures in Bellec's office (not bedroom), you'll find a clue.
Ok. I'll try exploring Conrads office more then.
@cabfe: at the part where i have to give the guard some wine, he keeps on saying he's "freezing out here". I dont know how to give the wine to him. or is there something else i have to do?
