Magic is a curse. A plague upon the world and those that live in it. Those that are born with this curse unwittingly sap the mana from the earth they stand in. In order to prevent these abominations from draining away the world's lifeblood, they are locked away in a castle in an isolated dimension. It is in this castle that the cursed are to remain, removed from society so that their magic does not harm normal people. They are to be kept here for the rest of their miserable lives.

At least, that's the way it should have been...

Suddenly, a loud crash is heard. A young girl, kept apart from the rest of the castle, looks up from the ground. The magical barrier that prevented her escape slowly dissipates. Standing up, she pushes open the gate and finds her first taste of freedom. Guide her as she teams up with a renegade mage boy to search for the truth behind the castle, her unique magic, and a way to escape.

I finally got a chance to play the game; it was great! If I have time I might try to post a review sometime. Hard to believe this was done in one month. Your team should be proud of yourselves.

Thanks for the kind word, RedMask. Yeah, we are happy with how it turned out, even with the cut content.
Shorter than I expected... but then again it is for contest. It took me a bit of time to understand the fusion system. I must admit it was fun while it lasted. Got 3rd ending.

You got the third ending? Yes, it is a bit shorter than expected.

*hint hint...*
I loved your game and the multiple ending possibilities. I have only seen the third and second so far, so I will try again soon to get the first ending.
Congratulations on your project!

Thanks for the praise! I'm so glad you liked it!
I liked it a lot, and made a small post about it on my tumblr. I've found Sooz tumblr over there, but do you also have one I can link to?

Sorry, but I don't have a tumblr. I don't know if unity does, but don't. Thanks for the post, though!

EDIT: so I looked over the post, and it just made my day. The only thing I ask is could you please put unity's and my name with the credits? I would really appreciate thats, thanks. Again, that post was wonderful!
Yes, I might have jumped the gun when posting there without crediting you guys, then properly read the page here :x heheh
Sorry about that, I owe you and unity my thanks for a good time playing it.

Hey, if the game got you excited enough to jump the gun like that, I consider that a good thing!

Haha, it's all good, man. I'm just glad you liked it. And I'm even more glad you made a tumblr post about it at all! Thanks again for playing!
It's fixed!
I'd love to see more of those two, how it all came to be, or more adventures in the same world. I find myself saying this a lot with the contest games, but you guys are great.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Thanks for the lovely post! :D

I think I'm the only team member on the tumblr. Unity had one years ago, but it didn't last long. She's p. bad at social media. -_^
Never mind my original post. I figured out how to get the 1st ending now.
I did a short video review of the game that can be found here:

I also found a major bug in the game. Though, I'm not sure if it applies to the version of the game you can download here or not since I played the version submitted to the contest.

You're magical to me.

Thanks a lot for the excellent review! We're working on a revised post-contest version, and I'll definitely be using this chance to address the problems you mentioned. I'll also go back and make sure the game-breaking bug isn't still in the current version.

Thanks again, for both playing and reviewing! ^____^
Your welcome.

And, this is definitely among the top two entries for the contest that I've played so far. Though, that may not be saying much since every entry that I've completed I've also reviewed at this point as well. And, that list is only comprised of eight entries so far.

Hey, thanks for the review! I see you also did a Let's Play of it too. You should submit it as Media.

Assuming you care about Makerscore...

Regardless, we really appreciate you taking the time to give the game a try!

First of eight is pretty good, IMO! :D Thank you greatly for your time and review!
This game is the second best I've played out of the eight. The top spot goes to Trials and Tribulations. It just feels a bit more refined then this game was. And, this is coming from someone who doesn't play puzzle games that often.
This was a delightful play. I really liked the magic system.
