Pokemon: Resource Kit
A collection of Pokemon R/S/E maps, and graphics from multiple generations of Pokemon games in one project. Free for the community.

I've been toying with the idea of making my own Pokemon game since I was insanely young. And recently, it almost happened. But instead I put my entire game development focus on my own project, the open world RPG Infinity IV. But before I had begun development on I4, I was pooling together all the good Pokemon resources I could find for RPG Maker 2003.

Then, I did something interesting. I remade Littleroot Town, Oldale Town, and some of the routes from Pokemon R/S/E (the advanced generation).

Eventually I decided not to finish the game, and work on my other project ideas, but I also always thought of releasing what I had made to the community. What this is.. is a resource kit. There's the starting towns from Pokemon R/S/E, some interior maps, and a large city I custom made.. along with a cave map I was working on. You'll also find some goodies in there (like a space ship thing I was working into the game, and even Bomberman).

The idea is a large collection of resources ready for anyone to use in any project. I don't own any of the resources, I just pooled them together from what I could find around the internet. There's also a boatload of Pokemon charsets in there, and of course a cool system design.

Take a look at the screenshots. If it's something you want for your project, have it!

Download link for version 1.0 and version 1.0-B (with RTP) is online.

Happy downloading!

Version 1.0-B (with RTP) Released

A new version of Pokemon: Resource Kit is available. This is NOT a replacement for the previous release. This is the same as the original release, but this includes the RTP so it can be played like a normal game. It also contains an NPC on a Route that allows players to go to other maps that are otherwise inaccessible without opening the editor. This is mainly for those who want to play the demo as a "game".

I don't wanna sound like a dick or a wannabe moderator but it is not legal to upload these, might get you & the site owner in trouble.
Okay first off.. there are countless games on this website that use graphics from the Pokemon series. Second, there are already Pokemon kits made for other versions of RPG Maker. Search for the Pokemon Starter Kit. It has been downloaded probably over 10,000 times over the past few years. Third, these graphics can be found online on many sites for free. They are not rare. Fourth, some of these are fan made. I did not rip them. So I don't know what is ripped and what is not, nor does it matter.

And finally.. Mario. Search Mario on this site. Find enough games using Super Mario tilesets? I don't see you posting this same comment on their pages.

So before you start posting comments like that, do your research. Thank you.

EDIT: And if you are talking about the maps, I spent hours making them by hand. I don't own any of this content, nor do I claim to. It's free for the community, and it's nothing that isn't already out there. I just packaged it together, and made examples to show those who have issues with tilesets, what can be done if you put some effort into it.
Well, I looked at the screenshots & most of the stuff there looked like ripped stuff from the original Nintendo games.

1-3 don't really change the way how copyright works, it's still illegal to rip sprites from Nintendo & give people access to them.

It is very unlikely that they will do anything at this point now but Nintendo is desperate for money these days & if they really hit rock bottom, you will never know what they will do.

Boy there's alot people doing far worse than me. Even X & Y sprites are up.

... And Google "Pokemon Essentials". They've done everything to steal from the series. Including rebuilding the battle system.

Thanks! It could really fit any project. Plus there's plenty of premade maps to get someone started, and loads of resources. :)
Wow! Great idea. Even for people who don't care about Pokemon styled games can probably use this for other fun rpg's.
Glad you like it! :D

I'm glad someone can enjoy the work I put into this. :)
Wow, amazing! Thank you so much for sharing this.
