Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

@Preki:

Since I just finished playing The Way I just noticed that as well. I guess the RM community just wouldn't be what it is without the sharing and redistributing of resources, eh?

In other related news, I am just about done with the demo.
@Preki: Yeah, I think I'm going to go ahead and change that.
holy shit a 141 mb file? I bet you use alot of mp3 dude...
Nico, the story alone makes me want to play this game. I'm currently TRYING to come up with a plot as powerful as this, and not really going to well. A pat on the back for you, friend!

Also, your battle backgrounds look almost like they were... made for this game. Are you using similar resources?
I don't know how long I played that game... my eyes hurt. O_O

I thought the first boss was kind of difficult, but then I meet the evil little midget. That little girl was impossibly fast and strong, I died three times before I finnaly devised a method to beating her. I'm going to have to remember that method, because when I faced Marcellus the game screen blacked out and gave me an error.

:P

Oh well, guess I'm going to have to get my ass canned again...

I did finish this game and got your PM, but RMN3 tends to explode my inbox. I'm trying to fashion some sort of review, though most seem to already address a few of my concerns. Maybe it's time for an update? :DD

I added my review. It might seem a bit disorganized but that's probably because I wrote chunks every now and then sort of intermittently. Plus there was a 4-week period where I hadn't finished my playthrough because I was in the middle of reformatting my hard drive and transitioning to a new job. But I backed up FE. :P

Hopefully the review helps out. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work. :)
I like the difficulty of this game. You managed to make item usage a common thing in an RPG, and for that I commend you. I'm sure others have mentioned the closeness of Final Fantasy IV and Epoch to Cecil. However, you started to break away from that nicely as you delved further into Epoch. I just finished the demo and I'm really looking forward to the finished product. I enjoyed the uniqueness of a lot of the characters in this game, especially Lee and the goblin (Gordo?). There were a couple spots where the speed of the enemies made it a little frustrating to try and explore for chests (the desert ruin/castle with the 3 statues and the forest with the 2 hidden chests).
What position does LWG have in this?

I'm guessing mapper or something along those lines.

Oh now LWG's in this, too... interesting.

I could be it has something to do with graphics.

Yep, you guessed, he's my official mapper now! :D

And he's doing a fine job I might add.
Well I expected no less than a fine job from LWG.
Been playing this game off and on, and it's excellent. (Shadow Hearts fan much? :D) Will definitely leave a positive review when I'm done. Keep up the good work!
Just knocking this up front for the sake of release something. Nothing new yet, sorry.

Weren't you supposed to release something soon? :)

PS, I think this is my favorite rudora-lookalike. *giggle*
DHM! I haven't seen you around the site in awhile. Yeah, I mentioned it in one of the forums, but yeah I wasn't able to get it done by release something. However, I've been extremely diligent as of late (I've done more in the past few days than I've done in months), so I will release it in a day or two (just some clean up stuff, ya know how it is).

And thank you for the compliment! :D I'm really looking forward to Chapter 7 of SU (I frequently check your blogs).
