Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Yeah I finished it, I was very sad that it was over even though it was actually pretty long. I'm really looking forward to the next release!
:D You're the first person I know that's finished it. I'm glad to hear it! If you get the chance, throw me a review. I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
I am the second! This game is shaping up to be really awesome. It's evident you put a LOT of work and care into it, and I really, really want to see you finish this. Please do!
Also, keep us updated with BLOGS!

I will follow this game very closely now that I've seen and played it and I like what I've seen and played. Keep. Us. Blogged.
I will do my best. I've just gotten back to work on it after a short break. I'm still deciding whether I will release another demo or the full version next. I've still got a lot of story left so there may be one more demo at like the fifty or sixty percent mark (right now, we are about maybe twenty-five or thirty percent through the whole game). Thank you so much for playing and commenting. It has really inspired me to keep going. If you have the time, I would love to see a more indepth look at your experience in review form or PM. In return, I will keep you blogged! :D

PS. I totally quoted you near the top of the front page. ;)
This actually got improved a lot it seems, I...must replay it and see it's awesomeness for myself.

Definitely do not release the full game next. Episodic releases are always the best format for lengthy RM projects, because a) it keeps interest in the game up for both yourself and the users b) you continue getting feedback c) people have something to play more often which is nice! d) the project is less likely to fall off the face of the earth (sit on hard drive forever)
I'm not sure about that! Well...hmm, Ciel might have a point, but only really because this demo in particular was so long. The only thing though, is that the demo wasn't intended to be an episodic release, and that obviously shows near the end of the demo. If you release a say, Part 2 next, that deprives the audience of the full Part 1 (hypothetically, which would be the demo we just played) because it iwasn't quite done. Also, there's the scenario of 'what if I want to go back and add a new feature or fix something major'?

Not to step on Ciel's toes, but I think releasing the full game next wouldn't be a bad option if you decided to do that next. I mean, some would argue that a full game all at once is better than DEMO1 DEMO2 DEMO3 etc etc.
Yeah, that is very true. People don't want to play the same thing over and over again. I know games like Starless Umbra consistently adds to the original game with brand new chapters and such. I'm not going to do that because I always have a tendency to make make changes to the old coding, which would make old saves unplayable. Although, I don't really see myself making significant changes to the gameplay department unless people really hate something. Just more like changes to the dialogue and character interaction.

I'm thinking probably one more demo before the full release. I would like the next one to hopefully be twice as long as this, at around the sixty percent mark. I should finally be able to progress much faster now that I've found my footing with something people seem to thoroughly enjoy, and I won't have to keep going back to make changes to old stuff. Basically, this demo was an ultra super duper rehaul of the gameplay and some story elements with a reasonable advancement of the plot. I hope to continue building on the gameplay and progressing much further in the plot because, hey, I've still got a lot of story to tell. ;)
Also, I totally dig the fact that I'm quoted, NicoB. Meant every word!
I don't know why it took me so long to get around to DLing the new demo D:
guess i'll just have to play the crap out of it today to make up :D
Fix the background of your gamepage =/
o_o Woah. It doesn't look like that for me, but my screen doesn't expand out as far as that....man, I'm not really sure how to fix that without the picture looking funny...
That is, making the picture stretched out and pixely.
