Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

@Imperium: Thanks, Imperium. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Yeah, Lyonell is where the game difficulty kicks up a notch. I'm happy to hear you were able to move past it. The following areas shouldn't be quite as bad though (because you'll have fewer party members, minus one scenario where you have three).

I started with my old save file and the demo ends where it ended before or am I missing something?

Which release are you referring to chana? Or I guess I should ask, where is it ending for you?

(Socrates would certainly not contadict me!)

Slade is in the soul-house, fights a mini boss, -transition- the new captain of Epoch's ex-regiment is lying in the grass and a crystal-demon (Malvir?) offers to save him in exchange of his soul. I must of played this more than a year ago?
Oh yeah, that's the latest version chana. I haven't release Episode 2 yet (although I'm working my hardest on getting it done).

I'll wait then, no problem. When do you think you'll be releasing it?
I'm planning on early summer. ^ ^ I'll post some blogs about new stuff and a specific date as I get closer to completion.

I suppose I should get around to playing it- I'd originally been somewhat scared I might not recognize it anymore. Don't worry, I'll report any typos directly to you :P
I seriously cannot wait for the next version.
I just finished the demo and it was just awesome. Grat's nicoB, you did a masterpiece. I have submitted a review (in french), hope it will be taken.

Yeah ive probably got around 40 rpg maker games where ive actually spent time playing, and this is still in the top 4 or 5. Great game. I have a short span, where i lose interest real easy, but this game kept me hooked. Between the fun battles and well written story line. EARLY SUMMER!!!
Hey NicoB, this may seem like a stupid question, but how'd you get the Rudra(I think that's what they are right?) water tiles on the world map to animate? Can't seem to figure it out..well, mostly since I just began using rm2k3 today~ :3
@Sana: I had multiple chipsets with different water animations and then I cycled through them with a parallel process event (you can see it in the upper left hand corner of the world map). It works well, especially if you want to fit a lot of stuff in a chipset, but it does cause a bit of lag (which is why I gave players the option to turn it off).
Ah, I see..well, mystery solved lol~ B3
This game is simply excellent, I can't even point out any negative points in this game, it's so good, I just hope this project sees completion. The difficulty is challenging, the graphics are excellent, the music, oh I don't even need to mention that, and I especially love the mysterious way the story unfolds! And anyone would think this is Balmung Cycle's second chapter if they don't see the title. Keep up the awesome work! :D
come to think of it i've a question will we be able to go back and get the limit breaks we missed earlier?? in the sequel

failed the fighting the shadows and moved on instead so.. yeah
