Plot Overview

In the world of Linguardia, the nations of Rikalia and Dorent are the reigning powers. Although both leaders have been at peace for centuries, a dark cloud is on the horizon. King Richard, leader of the Rikalian Empire, has recently lost his wife and daughter to a pack of demons. Now, his mind twisted from grief, Richard is on a quest for domination. His plan: to harness the power of the six legendary crystals, which, according to scriptures, will bestow the wielder with unimaginable powers if brought together. With Richard on a path of destruction to collect the crystals, war seems inevitable.

Players take control of Epoch Lander, Captain of Richard's Dragon Knights, an elite force within the Rikalian Empire. However, when Epoch begins questioning the morals behind Richard's actions, he is arrested for treason and sentenced to death. With his head full of unanswered questions, Epoch must decide whether to accept his fate or fight for what he believes to be the greater good: even if it means fighting alone.

Soundtrack Complete!

Jose has just finished the last two songs of the soundtrack, bringing the OST to a grand total of 36 songs. With those final two, the Forever's End soundtrack is now complete! I really have to thank Jose for all the hard work he put into these songs. They all sound fantastic, and I can't wait to release the next episode with them implemented. Great job, bro!

Do know though, there are a few songs that will be included with the game that aren't custom. Not many, but a few, mainly because some of my cutscenes were already built around these songs. However, all of the ones included on this gamepage are the custom ones composed by Jose.

With the soundtrack complete, I thought I'd list out a few of my personal favorites. If you have any favorites, please comment and show Jose some love.

Traveling - Overworld Theme

The Reprieve

Dangerous Wilderness

The Death Knight - Marcellus' Theme

Spiritualization

Journeying Forward

Cutting a Path

In the Heat of Battle - Boss Theme 2

A Dying Planet's Last Breath

Uhm, hello, could someone help me?
I'm in the Winter Temple, stuck in the statue puzzle:
I tried making them like this: Francis and Maria facing each other, David facing Maria, Angelica facing David, while the King is facing North and his son is facing West.

Where am I wrong?
Please help me.

Here is what I see in game:
Meanwhile, at the capitol building, King Sebestian stares out his window at the setting sun as his son William watched him from across the room.

To me, this would seem to imply that the king should be the one facing west, while his son faces him.

As i doubt ill ever feel like continuing this game i just give up and give thoughts now

Random thoughts

the font-one of the main reasons i avoid the 2000 and 2003 engine o.o

i love how it just auto equips the best gear for your 2 helpers :3
and how skills just go to a certain character rather then picking myself.
just wish there was no stat up items. at the very least i hope theres no store that sells them

:O missed scanning the golem :O and theres only one!? dam!

noticed theres actually not a cell door to you right lol...when you look out there

for being a prisoner its nice to keep your gear! high class treatment!

how in the hell was the throne room key in the study room and the throne and study room locked!?

emilys strongest ice spell should be Aoe :(

hmm...why cant...you walk by the girl crying about a neckless? she is just a memory! less then a ghost even!

the interface in battle is too far to the left cannot see the 1st characters limit bar

honestly his game was boring. if only it were much shorter id finish it. but its just not worth continuing.
i made it to the part where
you got out of the hunting grounds and go disguise your self to enter some city

Recommended to people who just want something to waste alot of time.
Just finished episode one/part one. Loved it and can't wait for the other parts. Good job Nico.

You obviously must be new to the whole "RPG" genre if you think it's too fucking long.

I see the community still hasn't gotten past this "NEVER CRITICIZE FOREVER'S END" thing. Disappointing.

RPGs can be too long. I've played FE ages ago and can confirm that the pacing is junk, the game is boring and yes, too long for what little it is.

Afaik there has never been such thing.
I found this game pretty good. Just installed it on my PC and its amazing. I also feel the present hairstyle is much longer and messier then the one on the sprite, which I interpret like this:

Saying the plot is boring and never really expanding on why it is, is just a cop out for "I have a small attention span" generally speaking.

No it's not. Generally, saying a plot is boring means that they find the plot uninteresting.

(I am not talking about FE here - I've never played it. I am just taking exception to the pointless ad hominem attack).

Regardless, people should really explain why they find it boring. They can't find it boring without actually knowing what it was that bored them in the first place.

No. If they find it boring, then something caused them to be bored, or perhaps the lack of something. Whatever it was, you can be bored without knowing why, it's just an extra step to find out why.

Definitely, especially on a site like this!

"Boring" is the default state of a game or story. It requires no explanation; if you're bored, the game failed to deliver anything interesting or engaging.

Not only will I explain why its boring, but all the other reasons I don't like it.

-Uninspired characters/setting/story
-Pretty much default battles
-Generic ass "Walk to A, Talk to B" RPG gameplay
-Wasting the talent of a great artist making portraits/comics of said uninspired characters whose designs are already fucking stolen anyways
-General shitty attitude of the greater community about any dislike of the game
-I own FF games, I can literally just go play those instead and get the same experience without it being watered down by 2k3
-Basically I find it horrendous that someone got famous by duct taping a bunch of FF games and sub par RPG cliches together into a game and stealing resources to make it, then wasting the talents of artists making custom shit for something which is already 95% stolen in the first place.

To put it simply, as a creative person who tries his ass off to make engaging and new ideas Forever's End and the popularity surrounding it is an insult to me and everyone else who actually puts hard work and love into what they do. Get mad at me or whatever you want, but that's what I've thought for the last 5 years and it ain't fucking changing. I don't give a fuck, this game is garbage. Hopefully that's a good enough explanation and shows you that I don't have "a short attention span".
On less hot of a topic, what's Booble up to these days?
Hey, so far, it's an interesting game.

I'm just a little stuck at this point fairly early on in Rikala Castle:

Where Epoch and Elise have just 'joined up' in the room where she was being held. I'd like to complete the sneak attack 'quest', but the first guard that's around the corner in the first hallway is just simply too fast, and I can't seem to pull it off. I'm hoping he is just 'stuck' in that spot, rather than stuck there on purpose to be evil.

A little help here?
This game looks absolutely stunning!
I *Just* started my first playthrough and right off the bat, Breathtaking music and engaging story!
I did read the "Top Seven Tips For Surviving In Linguardia" and I am *Droooling* ~^.^~
I am going to go play it right now!!!
I just wanted to say what a fantastic game this is so far! <3

I'm still visiting this site from time to time, I study graphic design full time at the moment though, life has surely got the better of me. It's fun and nostalgic to stalk the forums occasionally.

Haha I beg to differ, I am simply too lazy to log in most of the time so I end up creeping and not contributing at all to the community... Apologies!

I haven't been doing much game art I'm afraid, I'm working with different kinds of media now. It would be nice to collaborate with somebody again sometime soon though!
