Soundtrack Now Available!

Well, I meant to do this forever ago, but, well, I didn't. The soundtrack's here now, though!

Get the soundtrack to The Heart Pumps Clay here.

Also, here's the soundtrack to Born Under the Rain.

Everything should be free to download and you should be able to stream as much as you want, so enjoy!

And, hey, while I'm here, why don't you check out the progress of the current game I'm working on: Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass. It's going to be the best thing I've ever done, including that one time I saved* a cat that was stuck up a tree!

*By saved I mean I threw sticks and stuff at it until it came down on its own.**

**This never happened. One time I pet a cat, though, and it seemed to like it.

Post-Post-Contest Version

Hey, I've uploaded a new version. I know it hasn't been that long since my last update, but I got some great feedback and a few things clicked, so I think that the experience is different enough to warrant uploading. Here are the changes:

-Mara now has access to a new skill category called "Mana Burn." This lets her use her elemental abilities without switching, but they're double the MP cost (triple in the case of ice daggers). This should speed up the flow of combat for the regular encounters, and elemental shift is still useful for longer battles because of the smaller mp cost and buffs to Bud.
-Percival now changes colors to reflect his elemental weakness. Before, he would just flash briefly.
-I removed one of the mandatory encounters that was a bit redundant.

That's it! Mara's new skill category is the biggest game changer here; hopefully, it will speed up the flow of the combat, which was a point of criticism I've received a lot.

Post-Contest Version

I was waiting until after the contest was over to update this, but since that's going to take another month, I thought I'd go ahead and update the game so it's off my mind. The largest change I've made is a selectable difficulty; I've been getting mixed feedback on the difficulty, and I thought this would be the best way to satisfy both hardcore gamers and more casual players. Here's the full list of changes:

-Added difficulty settings.
-Fixed Scrum's graphics priority.
-Some item/skill names have been modified.
-Corrected a few minor typos.
-Treasures containing tomes are now blue instead of red.
-Slimes are now resistant instead of immune to elements they're naturally superior to.
-Final bosses' HP and attack values have been decreased.

Thanks so much for giving the Heart Pumps Clay a download, and hopefully the new version will make it more accessible!
