Alright, first things first, remove all plugged in controllers. Sometimes they will mess with RPG Maker games, since they can be used to play them, so if a controller is left plugged in and a button is pressed down it can lead to the game reading that as you pressing that button.

If you press F1 you should get an option menu pop up that allows you to change your button inputs. Use that to assign keys for movement and interaction. By default it's usually confirm = enter/z/space and cancel = ESC, numpad 0, x. Hopefully that might help a bit.

I don't own any controllers that works with my computer. Also, You can't change what each of the buttons do. You might be thinking of the steam version on that one...

I just opened the game & everything seems to be fine now. I guess I just needed to shut off my computer or something...

Am I doing this right?

I don't know if this forum or whatever gets updated anymore, but I'm having some issues running this game. I've read through just about every other comment & the only person who seems to be having a similar issue to the one I'm having is GunnerTheThing.

As soon as the game allows you to move around, the character is constantly moving left without me touching any of the keys. The up and down arrow keys work, but as soon as I stop touching them, the character starts to continuously move left again. The right key doesn't do anything.
Edit:
Well, it seems to be working now that I've left the game open for a few minutes now.

After I launched the game a 2nd time, I couldn't seem to move the cursor up or down or click the enter button to start the game. After trying to click many other keys, The Alt button seemed to start the game (& apparently, so does reactivating the window after you've minimized it or by clicking on it while it's out of focus). While having my second discussion with Niko, I couldn't choose what to say since there were no keys to highlight any other choices. So I kept pressing Alt & minimizing the window. Once the conversation was over, Niko seemed to move on his own. He would move down, left, & down again until he hit a boundary in the map. While I was pressing literally every single key on my keyboard, I found that pressing any of the bottom keys (the keys z through/), It opened up the menu and also closed out of it. Also, Hitting F12 apparently restarted the entire game. I have just accidentally killed Niko without meaning to do so.

I had left the game opened the whole time while typing this paragraph & so far the issue hasn't fixed itself. If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please let me know. I have played the steam version of this game & I really want to play this version as well.

EDIT: I just opened the game & everything seems to be fine now. I guess I just needed to shut off my computer. At least I can play it again...
amazing!

Break the forth wall haha XD So The end Save the world make me feel so good! I think is Better then Return home ending ,ask why can i play another end? I don't know.. My father made it to me

(use regedit. HKEY_current_user,software,one shot and Delete Endding . start one shot that will return to the bed savepoint in Gren not restart all)
This looks promising! Gonna give it a try!

you use regedit. HKEY_current_user, software, and delete the oneshot folder. start it up and then quit. then start it again. boom, one shot reloaded.
Does anyone know what this runs on..?? I'm having trouble ^^;
this was really beautiful, wow... basically everything about it was good. i really want to play it again, so i can get all the endings!! it kinda makes me wanna cry to be honest, because i'll never experience something this great again... i went for what seemed like the best ending possible, so at least i think i left the world off on a good note, i think.
even if the world's still dying... i'm not sure if niko being gone is a good or a bad thing.

i'm not sure whether to be happy about that, and grateful for the experience it gave me, or depressed that i'll never see what would've happened if i picked something else, my memory will probably screw me over, or that i'll never be able to at least show it to my friends when they come over to my house. it's kinda weird that the only thing that bothers me is the main gimmick of the game ><. thanks a lot for this, mathew and nightmargin!!! :D
This game is amazing,(besides putting virus in my PC :P)the animation is really cute,Niko really reminds me of Overlord Laharl from Disgaea and shokingly there is a prinny hat(or is it her hair) in this game :D,its short but great experience definitely recommend this to others :)

I was wondering If I would be allowed to do a video recording of this game?
...you know fair use is a thing, right? you don't exactly need permission from a creator to make videos of it.

Actually, no I didn't. I didn't want any problems if I did. But sometimes people copy-write for things and then my video gets taken down. But thank you for the info.
