The Farming One: Harvest Moon Rip Off or Original Idea?

As a new RPG Maker user, and a very new member to the site, I was eager to try a new game. Upon searching up simulation, I found "The Farming One" among many fan games and dating sims. Was I impressed by the art? Indeed I was, so I downloaded the game in mere seconds. Booting it up, I discovered all the possibilities of this game.

PLOT

You play as <player>, a farmer who recently bought a plot of land next to a town who all fled from bandits. From your donations and work, you will gradually convince more and more people to join your town. It's basically Harvest Moon on speed, as someone in the comments stated. The main goal of the game is to finish your farm and achieve a full town, which is surprisingly fun.

I give the plot 4/5

Gameplay

Ah. For a simple, quickly-built competition farming game, you wouldn't expect much but the base mechanics and maybe a minigame? In The Farming One you get both - and more... much, much more... There are a variety of tasks you can do: From Chopping trees to Mining ores, fishing and talking to strange bottle beings. There are festivals with sheep minigames, and others where you collect items of gratitude! There's so many things to do in this game, and when you banish the bandits (if you do), you get a ring, which you can use to marry anyone! Yes, that allows BxB or GxG support, rather than just BxG/GxB. (I married my childhood sweetheart: Catgirl). The messages with said Bottle Being happen often, helping you until you run out of messages, which stops until you get the wedding ring.

Graphics/Maps:

There are only a few maps to be found in The Farming One yet all of them, with their bright colours (English Translation of Finnish spelling, I don't know why it's highlighted.) and cheerful music (does this count as a sub-file of maps?), each stands out as unique. The caves have a wide contrast to the sunny beach or the bustling town square.

4/5

Bugs:

I couldn't find ANY in three playthroughs of the game.

5/5

Overall, great game and I recommend it!
