Introduction
Little Briar Rose is a graphic adventure game inspired by “The Sleeping Beauty”.

You are a brave prince who is trying to save the princess from an evil spell that forces her to sleep forever. In order to save her, you have to explore the enchanted forest which surrounds the castle where she is imprisoned.
It will not be an easy task at all: the forest is populated by several magic creatures, and you have to help them in order to break the curse.

This game is partecipating to the 2014 Indie Game Maker Contest:
http://contest.rpgmakerweb.com/game/view/id/264#.U7Xd1Y1_tmI

Characters
You are a prince, but are you a Prince Charming? Or are you just an ordinary pretender, such as Philip, Arthur and Edward before you? As the Grimm brothers said: “Many tried, but only one prevailed”. Every time you fail, a new suitor will take your place and try to save the princess.

Gameplay
This is a Graphic Adventure where you have to use the mouse for everything:
Look: just look for items
Action: use an item or interact with an object
Talk: talk with other characters
Go: move your hero to next the map
There are several items in the game. Some are well visible, some are not. To use an item, select it from the item menu and click on a character (or an area).

ProGM, just a quick check is this actually commercial or have you done that because it's an entry for the IGMC? The commercial status here on RMN is an indication of a game you are actually selling, so if that's not the case you may want to change it.

I'm only mentioning it because quite a few developers who have cross posted here with the contest entries have assumed due to prize money possibility and the other rewards for winning the game has to be listed as commercial.
It might be over the top and even too busy visually (just impressions without having played the game yet), but damn that graphical style is amazingly done. Gorgeous and imaginative.

Go play it synbi, it's a simple in execution, as good point and clicks are, but it's just stunning to look at. I actually want to submit a review for it, but I can't until ProGM sticks a download link on the page :(.
Thanks for your posts. I did some mistake when i've sent the post, sorry.
The game is free, you don't have to pay nothing. I've readed the rules about the submission and is asked to set the game as "commercial", if it's in the IGMC.
I may have misreaded it, i'm going to check it again.

Now you should see the download. I've just added it. :3

Thanks for your reply!

If it tells you to make it commercial, then follow those rules. I don't make games I just play them, though the majority of games on this site that are in the contest aren't listed as Commercial, and for some people that's a turn off.

Glad you added the download, now I can submit my review! Once it gets accepted, you'll be able to see it.
Ohw, my apologies, that was really a misread! I was in hurry and that's no good, as always.
I've fixed this now.
Can't wait to read your review! Thanks!

No problem, I glad you got it sorted. I would suggest however that you take the screen-shots out of the summary, you've already got most of them in the images section of the game page, just add the gnome village and title one to the ones already there.
I did start to download it, but Chrome stopped the download saying there was malicious software. You may wish to double check everything. In the meantime, I will probably be checking my own settings and running virus scans.

I really wanted to play this. It looks so gorgeous.

AltoClarinetist, that's actually a problem with Chrome, it's been reported on a number of games from the contest, not just this one. It's actually mediafire that causes the error for Chrome, not the game file.

I downloaded ran and played it, no problems and my virus/malware/spyware set up is stringent (to the point of annoyance sometimes), but caution is never unwarranted.
I replaced the download link with another one, you shouldn't have problems now... ;)
Thanks for the help! That stuff should have been the first thing I thought of. : )
It crashes after the mushroom starts sparkling... is this common?

Never happened to me, it ran without an issue. You mean when you've put all the wishes into the mushroom?
Very uncommon. Did it showed you an error window? If so, what's was written on it? Or it just closed?

I finished the gnome concstruction thing, the mushroom started sparkling, and I clicked on it... and donezo. No error windows...
Ok, let's see!
At this stage, i can't really find your bug. So here some questions:
Does this happens every time you try? Have you tried again after that?

It looks beautiful! :D

Aesthetically speaking it's very unique.

Edit: Just played the game, it's short and some story parts are quite ridiculous (as in the poor excuses some characters make up to force the hero to walk around the place, i.e.: spoiler:
golden scales
), but despite this it's a charming game!
The music, simple controls and imaginative graphic presentation makes up for the shortcomings.

I really liked the intro "special effects" and presentation.

The sound volume changes should be done gradually for a more smooth transition, right now they're very abrupt.

It would look even better if the text boxes were in the same style as the backgrounds (for some reason I think a comic book text box style would work well).

Spoilers:
Changing the Prince when the player loses is a well thought and fun detail. Does the achievement changes based on the Prince?
I'd make the ending a bit longer to be more rewarding.

In the future I'd add some movement to the backgrounds and NPCs to make it more fluid.

Also, I'm pretty sure this icon should be "Talk" and not "Look".

Visual Spoilers:
Thank you for your comments :) They'll be very useful for the next releases :D

Just played the game, it's short

The game is part of the indie game maker contest, so the game should not be longer than an hour... we'll improve it after the contest will end :P

In origin that quest was a bit more complex and reasoned, but it was cut to remain in the contest bound :( We'll fix in later releases ;)

We thought to leave the message boxes as simple as possible, in order to make the player focus on the background... but, right, we can do something better :P

Ach, buuug! ><
I played the game and it was very nice!

The graphic style was beautiful, and the puzzles were pretty fun. The only bad thing is that I died twice... :(

I hope you win something good in the contest!
Hey! Congratulations on getting 3rd place in the Non-RPG category. You did really well and it showed!
